We’ve been LOVING all the new merch we’ve seen ever since Disney Springs re-opened.
Tren-D
We’ve spotted new Hercules socks, a magenta MagicBand (ooooh!), and stylish face masks in the last few days, and we’re back AGAIN today to look at all things cool and Tren-D (get it??).
Some days are busier than others at the recently reopened Disney Springs, and today Walt Disney World’s shopping district is on the heavier side with crowds!

As a part of new health and safety measures, stores are limiting capacity. And on a day like today when Disney Springs is quite busy, that means lines.
Update: As of June 8th, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin’s Website now states the resort will remain closed through July 29th, 2020.
Disney World has just dropped SO much resort news, our heads are still spinning a bit.
Beach Club Resort
On top of new dining stipulations at the resorts and the virtual chat option on My Disney Experience for guests, stays at the hotels are about to see some huge changes when they re-open. But if you don’t currently have a hotel reservation, Disney World Resort currently isn’t accepting new ones.
We’ve been hard at work scoping out all the latest news for you this week. Today we have all the details on what’s happening that affects the Disney Parks.
Disney Springs
Due to the current global situation, Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris theme parks will be closed until further notice. Shanghai Disneyland reopened in mid-May and Disney World is REOPENING on July 11th! See all of our coverage HERE. And Disney Springs has REOPENED! Now — we still have a LOT to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in… .

The NBA has OFFICIALLY made an agreement with Disney World that it will resume its season on July 31st with a 22-team format!

While we know the playoffs are coming to Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports, there hasn’t been a definite answer regarding where the players will stay when the season begins after the parks’ grand re-opening.
When Disney World announced their plan to reopen July 11th, they emphasized an increase in the amount of “contactless experiences” for their guests.

One of the major areas that will be impacted by this are character meet and greets, which will be temporarily suspended. But what other things could be gone for the time being?
Disney Springs and Universal Orlando’s CityWalk reopened a few months ago and brought about several big changes — some of which are taking a little more getting used to than others! 😉

Both shopping and dining districts mandated the use of masks for both guests and employees. Making the change to wearing masks in daily life has been a bit of a transition — but add a little Florida heat and walking around all day to the mix and things start to get a little swampy pretty FAST.
