We got a LOT of news this week on what we can expect for the fall in Disney World.
From changes to the mask rules to Disney Genie, it’s been a LOT to follow. One detail you might have missed is that Disney confirmed that the upcoming Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride in EPCOT WILL use a Virtual Queue when it opens, but how will it work?
Disney told Cast Members a little bit more about how the Virtual Queue process will work for the new ride. We’re familiar with the system as we’ve seen it on Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the process isn’t changing for Remy’s!
Guests with valid park admission and an EPCOT Disney Park Pass will be able to access the Virtual Queue system via the My Disney Experience app beginning at 7AM on the day of their reservation. This can be done from anywhere as long as you have that reservation.
If you are unable to get a Boarding Group at 7AM, you’ll have another chance when the second Boarding Group window opens at 1PM. The 1PM window can only be accessed AFTER you have entered EPCOT for the day.
Remember, guests MUST start their day in EPCOT to access Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure this way. If you have another Disney Park Pass reservation, you will not be able to access the Virtual Queue.
But, Virtual Queue will NOT be the only way to access Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Disney has also confirmed that this attraction will be available as an Individual Attraction Selection for the new Lightning Lane feature (Basically, the new Fastpass line.) that’s debuting with Genie+.
Guests can opt to purchase Lightning Lane access for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (which they do NOT need a Boarding Group to use) for a fee that will vary based on date.
As you might know, this process is EXACTLY the same for Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It may be difficult to grab a Boarding Group for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so stay tuned to DFB for tips and tricks as we get closer to the opening.
