We’ve seen Muppets Haunted Mansion take over Muppet*Vision 3D in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and now there’s a special exhibit in Disneyland featuring all kinds of behind-the-scenes props from Muppets Haunted Mansion! Come with us to check it out.
Currently in Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in Disneyland is the “Happy Haunts Materialize” Haunted Mansion exhibit. When you enter the building, you’re greeted with this sign explaining how the Haunted Mansion was developed by Disney Imagineers.
Among the Haunted Mansion exhibits is this one featuring items from Haunted Mansion, like this “Corruptible Mortal” license plate with the number “2 DIE 4.”
Now added to the Haunted Mansion exhibit is Muppets Haunted Mansion props that were actually used in the special, and you can even see how the puppeteers used some of them!
Each prop has a card explaining what part of Muppets Haunted Mansion it was in, along with notes from some of the Muppets themselves.
This seance table displays the crystal ball stand used in the special, and the maid’s spray bottle.
Miss Piggy’s note references Imagineer Kim Irvine, who is the daughter of Leota Toombs, the original voice and model for Madame Leota in the Haunted Mansion.
The upholstered seance chair was also used in the special, as were the “Life Hereafter” coffins and the candleholder inspired by the floating candelabra in the Haunted Mansion attraction.
A note from Scooter suggests that he’d REALLY like that seance chair in his basement.
And this wreath is from an important scene in Muppets Haunted Mansion, but we won’t spoil it for you!
You can catch Muppets Haunted Mansion streaming on Disney+ now, and if you’re in Disneyland pop into Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln for this special exhibit! Keep reading DFB for all your Disney World AND Disneyland news!
