Did anyone ever watch the original Charlotte’s Web movie as a kid? Like, the cartoon version?
Well, there’s a scene that comes to mind every time we visit Disney World. It’s the scene where Templeton the rat is wandering around the county fair and singing, “The fair is a veritable smorgasbord!” Well, Disney World is a veritable smorgasbord. Yep, there are delicious and tempting eats everywhere you turn at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Except… they’re often pretty ‘spensive. It’s easy to fog eat your way through the parks, and then you’ve blown a large chunk of your vacation budget. Not on our watch! Noooo way. We’re here to help you snack the financially savvy way. Let’s talk about it!
There ARE budget-friendly eats hiding around the parks, you just have to know were to look. Here are the CHEAPEST (less than $5) snacks that you can grab in each park. Now, notice how we said SNACKS. These are great options to tie you over until the next meal time, but probably won’t fill you up. If you’re looking for the cheapest meals in each park, click here!
Without further ado, let’s start off strong with Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom, we recommend heading to Main Street Confectionery! It’s literally the first thing you’ll see as you begin to head down Main Street, U.S.A.
Here, you’ll find a Mickey Sugar Cookie for only $4.99. It’s a pretty hefty cookie, and it’ll definitely tie you over (and kick your sweet tooth in the process), but be warned: it’s a bit dry. Overall, though, it’s tasty!
EPCOT
Over at EPCOT, there are so many great options for snacks less than $5. But there are a few that reign supreme when it comes to bang for your buck. Two of these can be found at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion.
Here, you can find a full baguette for $3.95 and a croissant for $3.25. They’re delicious, flaky, and soft on the inside — just how good bread should be.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a lovely quick service location by the name of Flame Tree Barbecue. Here, there are all sorts of delicious eats. But today, we’re only focused on the cheapest, while still keeping it tasty.
At flame tree, you can get a side of delicious, crispy onion rings (Or fries, but let’s face it. Onion rings are the better bang for your buck.) for only $4.99.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, some of the cheapest eats in the park can be found at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land.
One of our favorite dishes here is the Potato Barrels for $4.99. They’re basically tater tots, and they’re delicious. You can also get them loaded — what Disney likes to call Totchos — but that’ll set you back a few extra dollars and is more of a meal.
Whew! Now, doesn’t that feel great? You found some GREAT snacks while saving some money along the way. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing and are always in the loop.
