The 2024 Pixar Fest has started at Disneyland Resort and we’re sharing ALL THE DETAILS from the festival!
We’re ready to check out all the fun happening all over Disneyland Resort from meeting special characters, checking out entertainment, and more! Let’s GO!
Festival Dates
Pixar Fest runs from April 26th through August 4th, 2024, the fun with Pixar pals — and MUCH more — will span both parks (Disneyland and Disney California Adventure), Downtown Disney, and beyond!
From parades and special character appearances to new activities and limited-time eats and souvenirs, there’s going to be so much to explore!
Getting Started
Walking into the parks this morning, we noticed that security lines weren’t too bad!
This was right at the beginning of the park day, around 8AM. As the day went on, we noticed there were some longer lines for souvenirs…
However, crowds around the park in general weren’t too bad!
This was still before noon, so it is possible we’ll see crowds go up later in the day.
Signs and Decor
We absolutely LOVE all the different Pixar Fest decor you can find around the park — it really makes it feel like the big celebration it is!
You’ll find banners with different Pixar characters all throughout Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland.
And when you’re traveling in between the parks, you’ll also find tons of fun details.
You’ll definitely know it’s being celebrated the moment you walk into either park!
What better way to announce the celebration? There is none!
Pixar Fest at Disney California Adventure
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade
The brand-new “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade in Disney California Adventure will feature over more than two dozen Pixar pals!!
We got to see an entire float dedicated to the characters from Turning Red, including the beloved 4*Town group!
Plus, we got to see some beloved characters from Up — Russell, Kevin, Dug, and Carl.
And we can’t forget about the incredible Inside Out float with Joy and Sadness!
We also spotted floats and characters from Soul…
…The Incredibles…
…Luca (which was a super fun surprise)…
…Woody from Toy Story on a GIANT dump truck toy…
…and finally Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski, Sully, and more on a massive group float.
We ADORED this parade and highly recommend checking it out while you visit!
Club Pixar
We’ll be checking out Club Pixar after dark!
This nighttime party will feature an interactive DJ dance party, live performances, games, photo ops, themed food, crafted drinks, and more. (P.S. During the day, you can stop by the Hollywood Backlot to see if you can catch some Pixar characters, play games, or take a photo against themed photo ops!)
Pixar Fest at Disneyland Park
Pixar Pals Playtime Party
This is a high-energy show, interactive games, photo ops, and activities inspired by Pixar films are taking place at the Fantasyland Theater!
Some amazing Cast Members got us all hyped up and ready for the party before it was time for the main event.
And then it was time to dance the day away with some of our favorite Pixar friends like Mr. & Mrs. Incredible…
…Joy and Sadness from Inside Out…
…and Woody and Jessie from Toy Story!
Edna Mode and Frozone were also on stage and joined the audience on the floor at the end of the show.
It was such a fun time — we highly recommend checking it out!
Pixar Characters
There are SO many exciting meet and greets happening during this event with characters you likely won’t get to meet otherwise! One of our favorites was getting to meet Ian and Barley from Onward! This meet and greet is located right near the Pixar Pals Playtime Party at Fantasyland Theater.
You can also meet Alberto and Luca from Luca at Fantasyland Theater as well!
And over at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, you can meet Dug from Up! But this meet and greet is extra special — you can hear him talk!
We also spotted Ember and Wade from Elemental right outside Fantasyland Theater as well!
Look who it is! 🔥💧
We found Ember and Wade at #PixarFest2024! pic.twitter.com/H5lgeoathB— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) April 27, 2024
See? SO many characters to meet!
“Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular”
This nighttime spectacular is returning with some all-new scenes from Pixar’s Onward, Soul, Luca, Turning Red, and Elemental!
Not only can you see fireworks behind the castle, but you’ll also want to look at the Main Street U.S.A. buildings for some fantastic projections that match what’s going on in the castle.
We LOVED seeing these projections — some of them were really, really impressive!
It’s a wonderful way to end your night in the park, reminiscing on some of your favorite Pixar stories with the friends and/or family you’ve traveled with, or just take it all in yourself if you’re on a solo trip.
Don’t miss it!
Pixar Fest FOOD!
The special Pixar Fest food booths won’t open until May, but there is still a TON of specialty food and drinks to enjoy all around Disneyland and Disney California Adventure!
We had to try out the Pineapple Coconut Float, which is Blue DOLE Pineapple-Coconut Juice topped with DOLE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve, Strawberry Lava, and a Gummy for $9.29.

The Sea Monster Friends Parfait looks adorable in the photo but heads up that the actual offering does look a little different.
In the dessert display case at the Emporium, we also found a few special treats like the Mike Wazowski Crispy Treat for $7.99.
You can also grab the Forky Cake Pop for $6.99 (try not to have an existential crisis at that price tag).

Pixar Fest Merchandise
Of course, there will be some exclusive merchandise at the event as well, like the Pixar Fest Stainless Steel Tumbler for $27.99 and Pixar Fest Travel Tumbler for $13.49.
The Travel Tumbler has a collection of many different Pixar characters from Toy Story, Coco, and beyond.
The Stainless Steel Tumbler, on the other hand, is all themed to Monsters Inc.!
And the cutest of them all (in our opinion) is the Slinky Dog Sipper for $18.79.

…and the Magic Key Dug Bucket for $32!
And over in Pizza Planet, you can grab the Alien Pizza Planet Truck Bucket for $27.79! However, we didn’t see a sign for it, so you may have to ask a Cast Member!
Over in Fantasyland near it’s a small world, we also spotted a Turning Red Straw Clip for $7.50!
Back up on Main Street U.S.A. you’ll find the Pixar Fest Popcorn Bucket for $13.75. It’s got representation from Coco, Toy Story, Turning Red, and Monsters Inc.!
