We just got information about the 2025 dates, PLUS new dates have been added for THIS year. We have all the details for you, so keep reading!
Moonlight Magic will be returning in 2025 and a few more dates have also been added for 2024! Moonlight Magic is an exclusive after-hours party known for its low crowd levels, entertainment, and meet-and-greets with rare Disney characters. These events are only available to Disney Vacation Club members (and their guests). The event can be compared to a Disney After Hours event, however these events are complimentary for Disney Vacation Club members.
Pain and Panic during a DVC Moonlight Magic Event
Disney just announced the dates for Moonlight Magic in 2025, plus added some dates for Disney’s Animal Kingdom this year. If you have been hoping to attend a Moonlight Magic event this year, you are in luck, because THREE new dates have been added at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2024. Event dates have been added on October 24th, November 21st, and December 10th. What’s even better, is that eligible members may register for one of these extra event dates even if they have already attended a Moonlight Magic event in 2024.

Early registration for the 2024 dates at Disney’s Animal Kingdom opens on September 19th, 2024. Early registration is only for eligible members with a qualifying resort reservation. If you do not have a qualifying resort reservation, general registration opens for all Disney Vacation Club members on October 8th, 2024.Â

In addition to three new 2024 dates, Disney also announced the 2025 Moonlight Magic dates:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: February 12th, 2025
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: January 26th and September 1st, 2025
Disney California Adventure: February 3rd, 2025
EPCOT: April 30th and July 17th, 2025
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: May 20th, June 9th, and August 11th, 2025

Disney has not announced when registration will be available for these dates yet, but we will update you once they have released that information. Until then, it is always good to be able to plan ahead!

Moonlight Magic events are just one of the perks you get from being a Disney Vacation Club member. This is pretty disappointing. When Moonlight Magic first started, there were 3 dates per park, including Magic Kingdom. And even then, you were lucky to be able to reserve a spot for your family. Now that they’ve reduced the number of events so drastically even more DVC members will be left out of this “benefit”.
Hi, We are signed up for this Nov. at Animal Kingdom, but I cannot find the times anywhere, I assume it starts at 6pm since that is when the park closes that day, but how long does it last?
