Who’s hungry?! If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland, it can be hard deciding where to eat — especially if you’re visiting Downtown Disney. That place has a TON of great restaurants!
Speaking of dining, hi. Here at Disney Food Blog, we have a LOT to say about food. We’ve tried a TON of snacks, meals, and drinks in Disneyland, and we’re gearing up to try even MORE! Several new additions are headed to Downtown Disney, and before we visit these restaurants, we need to preview the menus. Come with us — it’s time to make a FOOD wishlist!
Disney announced that Parkside Market is set to open “this winter” on the west end of the Downtown Disney district. This spot will have four distinct dining locations under the same roof. It will be home to:
- Vista Parkside Market, which will serve signature craft cocktails and mocktails
- Seoul Sister, which will be a fast-casual modern eatery serving Korean-style rice bowls
- Sip & Sonder, which will serve lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks and small bites
- GG’s Chicken Shop, which will serve chicken sandwiches, salads and classic dinner table sides

We’ve been WAITING for a glimpse into what these spots would serve, and now we have a preview of the menus!

First up is Sip & Sonder, which will serve lattes, fresh treats, frozen drinks and small bites.

Sip & Sonder was founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. The brand has been recognized as one of the best cafés in L.A. by the Los Angeles Times. We’re seeing lots of fun drinks on the menu, like a Lavender Tea Latte and a Chai Latte called The Sparrow. YUM!

In addition to Sip & Sonder’s signature lattes, we spotted some small bites, like a Cinnamon Roll and a Cake Pop!

Next, we’re checking out the menu at Vista Parkside Market. This spot is located on the second story and is described as an al fresco spot with great views and signature craft cocktails and mocktails. The menu boasts frozen lemonades, frozés, espresso martinis, shareable cocktails, and spirit-free elixirs.

And if you’re looking for something nonalcoholic, check out the Brisk Breeze or the Bird’s Eye View drinks.

Time for some FOOD! Seoul Sister will be a fast-casual modern eatery serving Korean-style rice bowls, and we’re LOVING this menu. Those dumplings are calling our name!

©Parkside Market
Seoul Sister will be a fast-casual restaurant with a Korean-forward menu based on bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) “with a California twist.” According to the Parkside Market website, “Executive Chef Kelly Kim will showcase bold Korean flavors through marinated meats, colorful vegetables and savory sauces over rice, noodles or salad, plus appetizers, an Asian-inspired kids menu, and hand-crafted drinks.”

Finally, there’s GG’s Chicken Shop, which will serve chicken sandwiches, salads, and classic dinner table sides. Here’s a peek at the menu; we can hardly pick a favorite! From the Original Fried Chicken Sandwich to the Ranch Fried Chicken Sandwich, there are some fun options here.

This restaurant comes from the minds of the Boka Restaurant Group and — fun fact — was founded by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm, alongside Michelin Star Chef Partner Lee Wolen. Talk about the dream team!

Don’t worry, fellow sauce lovers. You can get BBQ, Garlic Ranch, or even Honey Mustard sauce on the side. You know we’ll be loading up on that, thank you very much.

While the Parkside Market website still lists this spot as “Opening Soon,” and we have yet to see an official grand opening date, Disney confirmed that this restaurant had a soft opening today, January 4th. If you’re in the area, check it out!
