It’s officially time to celebrate the Year of the Snake at the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure!

From January 17th through February 16th, 2025, Disney California Adventure will ring in the Year of the Snake with additional cuisine and entertainment offerings, and we’re here on the first day to check it all out! We’re bringing you a look at the food, characters, merchandise, and entertainment — so let’s get started!

Getting Started

The Lunar New Year Festival is Disney’s “joyous tribute” to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures, and it brings some seriously excellent eats and more to Disney California Adventure. 2025 marks the Year of the Snake, and this year’s festival runs from January 17th to February 16th, so you have a little less than a month to check it out!

When you arrive at the park, make sure you grab a festival Tasting Passport — this will help you find info you might need like food booth menus and locations, entertainment areas, shopping, and more. You can also find plenty of information about the festival on the Disneyland app.

The Sip and Savor Pass is back this year! This is an optional purchase that includes six digital coupons that can be redeemed for one food item or non-alcoholic beverage at the Lunar New Year Marketplaces and select items at the Additional Locations.

In 2024, the Sip and Savor Pass cost $46, and Disneyland Resort Magic Key holders were eligible for a discount on the Sip and Savor Pass, bringing the cost to $43. Stay tuned for 2025 pricing!

Entertainment

Characters

Be sure to stop by the Paradise Gardens Gazebo to see more Disney pals in their Lunar New Year attire! A special photo pavilion is available for guests to capture their memories in the area. And NEW in 2024, Meilin Lee and her mom, Ming Lee, greeted and interacted with guests at the Festival! You might recognize these two from the Disney and Pixar film, Turning Red. We stopped by, but they aren’t meeting with guests just quite yet.

Make sure you stay tuned to DFB as we meet more characters throughout the day!

Additional Activities

You’ll want to stop by the Wishing Wall to make your New Year’s Wish.

This is a great way to make those New Year’s resolutions.

Merchandise

You’ll find lots of exclusive Lunar New Year merchandise throughout the park, and we’ll be bringing you a look at it all soon — so stay tuned for more!

Food

There are six official Food Booths at this year’s Lunar New Year Festival, plus plenty of new and returning favorites at additional food locations throughout Disney California Adventure! We’ll be trying them all, so make sure you check back here for updates.
