Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary is right around the corner, and we can’t wait!
We’ve already seen some changes made to the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle ahead of the celebrations, we know tons of snacks are on the way, and now, we’ve got a sneak peek at the new cavalcade coming to the park for this special event!
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade arrives in the park on May 16th and will have two showtimes most days — one at 1:30 PM and the other at 2:45 PM.
The cavalcade features tons of your favorite characters, even those that you don’t see very often. You’ll see Mickey, Duffy (in his RETURN to Disneyland!), ShellieMay, Max, Disney Princesses, Disney Heroes, and more — yes, Duffy is back at Disneyland!

Celebrate Happy!
We had SO much fun watching this cavalcade travel down Main Street, U.S.A. during our special 70th Anniversary preview.

Disney Princesses
AHHH! Can you tell we’re excited? We’re so happy to see Duffy and ShellieMay in Disneyland. Look at their festive outfits — how cute! These characters have been missing at Disneyland Resort (they became SUPER popular over in Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disney Resort), so we’re happy to see them return for Disney’s big anniversary.

Duffy is BACK!
If you want to catch the show, be prepared! We recommend lining up a few minutes (about 15–20 minutes) before the cavalcade kicks off. You’ll have a great view of the characters if you stand anywhere along Main Street, U.S.A.

Don’t forget that the “Paint the Night” parade will be returning to Disneyland for the event at nighttime and will include characters from Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, just to name a few. The nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” is also returning for guests’ enjoyment.
We can’t wait to see the new outfits Mickey and his pals will be wearing, and you know we’ll be one of the first in line to see the new projection show Tapestry of Happiness on “it’s a small world.” There’s so much to explore and admire during this event, we can’t wait to begin to experience it all so soon!
