HOORAY!! The dates for the 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival have been announced! Mark your calendars for February 28 – May 28, 2018 — that’s 90 days for the Festival!
That’s the time you can expect to be enjoying Disney Character Topiaries all around Epcot, the Garden Rocks Concert Series (with Dining Packages for the Series returning for 2018), Garden Tours and other activities dedicated to gardening for all those Green Thumbs — and aspiring Green Thumbs — out there!
Hello, there! Or should I say, “Bonjour!”? Because we’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re taking a FOOD TOUR of Epcot’s France Pavilion!
So get ready to settle in… because when it comes to food options in Epcot’s France Pavilion, it’s almost an embarrassment of riches! Tucked into the beautiful Pavilion is a Signature Restaurant with Monsieur Paul and a Table Service restaurant, Chefs de France. But it’s also home to its very own housemade ice cream and sorbet shop, Slushes just for adults, and one of the most extensive and delicious snack offerings anywhere in Disney World at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie… and that’s not even everything! So get ready to check it ALL out in our latest DFB Video! [Read more…]
In case you had any doubt, the Disney Holiday Season is ON! We spent yesterday at the soft opening for the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure on the west coast. But today, the elves on the east coast are getting ready for the celebration, too… because the MENUS are up for the Holiday Kitchens coming to the 2017 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays kicking off on November 19th!
This year, the twelve Holiday Kitchens announced so far will be found around World Showcase and beyond.
Gingerbread displays at Walt Disney World
have become such an exciting part of the holiday celebrations that guests can literally plan an entire day around seeing them all. (We even include some tips on how to do so in our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Holidays!)
And it is not hard to see why! Gingerbread is done bigger and better at the Disney Resorts, with literally HUNDREDS of pounds of ingredients being shaped and engineered — you might even say “imagineered” — in unbelievable ways that you just have to see with your own eyes! [Read more…]

Can you believe we’ve already reached this point? We are just two weeks out from the end of the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! Even so, we still have a little more news to share! According to orlandoparksnews.com, Disney World Annual Passholders can enjoy a reserved seating area at the remaining Eat to the Beat Concerts from now through the Festival’s end on November 13th!
Annual Passholders can visit the Annual Passholder Button location inside the Festival Center and, with a Valid Annual Pass, request a badge for the 5:30, 6:45, or 8:00 PM show. First-come, first-served.
At showtime, head to the left entrance of the America Gardens Theatre for the separate queue for those with badges.
Remaining acts include Hanson, Boyz II Men, Living Colour, and more! Be sure to check out the full line up here!
Today, I bring you a Tale of Two Cupcakes.
One wonderful, the other… not so much (as in REALLY not so much). You can find them both at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at Epcot.
Sunshine Seasons is a much-beloved quick service spot where guests rave about the variety of options, the use of ingredients from the neighboring Living With The Land, and the desserts. You already know how we feel about the Strawberry Shortcake here. And the seasonal Apple Crisp. And the Mickey Oreo Cheesecake.
The list truly goes on and on — mostly because Sunshine Seasons’ Cast Members go out of their way to create unique treats that represent the seasons and celebrations of Epcot. And we’re always game to try their newest creations.
But, well, allow me to tell the Tale of Two Cupcakes. I’ll begin with the bad news first because I believe it’s always better just to get it over with. The Ursula Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons is… gross.
The “black mirror” lacquered glaze on the outside is Ursula-approved, I’m sure. The fondant scroll for Ariel’s contract is a cute touch (although we can see Ariel has printed her name, not so much signed it). On top is Ursula’s shell necklace — also the tool used to capture Ariel’s lovely singing voice — and more tentacle-y fondant touches. [Read more…]
We’ve checked out the new Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios Starbucks “You Are Here” Mugs and Mickey Tumblers at Creature Comforts, Main Street Bakery, and The Trolley Car Cafe, respectively. Today, our stop is Epcot’s Fountain View, where the Mickey Tumbler similarly features beloved park icons — from yesterday and today! — in honor of Epcot’s 35th Anniversary.
I LOVE the nod to the Universe of Energy dinosaurs on Mickey’s foot! And there’s Figment! Horizons made it!! And Kitchen Kabaret get some love, which does my heart good. Spaceship Earth makes up Mickeys cute face… it goes on and on.
And, just like the other in-parks Starbucks locations, there is also a new “You Are Here” Mug.
Hello, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we would love it if you would join us on a Food Tour of Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion!
Now, you likely already know about our love for La Cava del Tequila… and we’ll definitely be hitting it up in our video today! But we’re also talking about some other spots… like where you can score some delicious Mexican candy and chocolates, and a couple of primo places where you can watch the IllumiNations spectacular while enjoying some terrific eats. We’ll also fill you in on a place you might want to skip when you’re planning what you want to NOSH ON or NOT in Epcot’s Mexico! [Read more…]
