We’ve been on the prowl for the new Jungle Cruise Wishables which just debuted on Disney’s website day!

So far we haven’t seen them for sale in at the parks or at Disneyland’s World of Disney, but we DID discover something else had arrived!
Disneyland opened on July 17th, 1955, so this year marks the 65th anniversary of Walt Disney’s original theme park.

While Disneyland itself remains closed, some of Downtown Disney’s restaurants and stores have reopened and new Disneyland 65th Anniversary merch has been released at World of Disney and online.
We’re taking you on a trip to a jungle in a faraway place…well, Adventureland in Disneyland to be exact!
Bengal Barbecue
Bengal Barbecue has been serving up bacon-wrapped asparagus and Tiger Tails for just over 30 years (!!!) in Disneyland. And, thank GOODNESS for that!
It’s the home to some delicious eats like Poke Bowls, the Jungle Julep, and that incredible Kalua Pork Sandwich. But, most importantly, Bengal Barbecue grills up some of the BEST kabobs and skewers you can get on Disney property!

Downtown Disney has re-opened to guests so they can visit their favorite stores and restaurants in the district!

Although we’ve been happy to dine at spots like Tortilla Jo’s and shop at the World of Disney for new face masks, due to Disneyland’s delayed reopening we haven’t yet been able to visit their parks and resorts. And while reservations had originally been available for select Disneyland hotels in August, it now looks like we might have to wait a little while longer before we will be able to visit!

World of Disney in Downtown Disney
Since the last time we visited Downtown, there has been quite a decent amount of new merchandise added! Plus, while dining locations like Ballast Point and Tortilla Jo’s have re-opened, one location has re-closed! Let’s recap!
Waiting in line to visit World of Disney these days can take a while depending on what time of day you stop by!

But it’s well worth the wait to score some of the Tiki Room, Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain Face Masks, or Mickey Mouse Lounegflys we’ve spotted recently at the reopened Downtown Disney!
Downtown Disney began a phased reopening on July 9th while the rest of Disneyland Resort including its theme parks and hotels have remained closed.

Operating hours for the entertainment and shopping district have been 10AM to 8PM Friday through Sunday since its reopening, but now it appears they’ve made some adjustments to their weekend hours.
Starbucks Lovers: you may have to look somewhere else to get your caffeine fix at Downtown Disney.

Downtown Disney has been shipping in some new Disney gear!
The Disney character face masks have been very popular at Downtown Disney at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Some of the previous designs featured Mickey, Minnie, and even Baby Yoda. As Disney Parks worldwide continue their phased reopenings, policies have been updated to reflect current guidance from health experts. Recently, we shared the news that Disney World updated their face mask policy, which now bans face masks with “valves, mesh material, or holes of any kind.”

In an unsurprising move, Disneyland also updated their face mask policy to reflect this change, effective immediately.
