Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially opening at Walt Disney World on June 28th, 2024!

This new ride has been under construction in Magic Kingdom since early 2023, but it’s set to open in just a few short weeks. A few lucky groups of folks — Cast Members, Annual Passholders, D23 Members, and Disney Vacation Club Members — get to experience this attraction early and we were fortunate enough to be part of it! So, come with us for a FIRST LOOK at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Last month, Walt Disney World announced the details on how previews would work for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure would work. For Annual Passholders, the procedure would require them to book a park pass reservation for one of the given dates, Once their reservation was secure, they would be able to attempt to join a virtual queue at 7:00AM and 1:00PM that day. The passes for available days sold out quickly, however we noticed one opened back up today.
A lot is about to happen in Magic Kingdom.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on June 28th, but early previews of the new ride have already started for some Disney World visitors. A new MASSIVE expansion is coming to the park, too, along with a bar inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, we said it — a Pirates of the Caribbean BAR is coming to Magic Kingdom. Now, we don’t have many details about this bar or where it will go, but y’all…we think we just found a HUGE clue about its location.
There is one snack spot in Disney World that seems to be having an identity crisis.
Energy Bytes
When Energy Bytes originally opened in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom (you’ll find it over near TRON Lightcycle / Run), the menu featured dumplings, donut holes, and a fun futuristic dessert. The snack spot later added a few new drinks and more unique snacks. However, the menu at Energy Bytes recently got a complete overhaul, so we’re trying NEW food there AGAIN.
Yeah, yeah, we know it’s not even officially summer yet, but we’re already pumped about Halloween in Disney World!

For 2024, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is returning to Magic Kingdom and we’re going to have a BLAST with trick-or-treating, specialty entertainment, rare character meets, and low wait times for rides. And if you’re planning a trip to the Halloween party this year, then today may be an important day for you!

With only a few days left until the ride officially opens (June 28th), we’re all counting down the hours until we can join Tiana on a trip through the bayou, check out all the new merch, and just have a hopping good time. All of that being said, this ride has a catch, and it’s one that just might become the new number 1 problem in Magic Kingdom. Let’s talk about it!

Cast Member previews started over the weekend, and each day has seen lots of down time, queue closures, and ride evacuations. Members of the DFB Team who have been invited to ride with Cast Member friends were not able to ride on Monday, June 3rd, or Tuesday, June 4th, because the ride was down at their designated time, and eventually it was down so long that their reservations were canceled. So, WHY is this ride having so much trouble? Disney traditionally does not release information about why rides go down, but we do have some theories. Let’s talk about it.

Recently, a member of one of rock & roll’s most iconic bands took some time off from their tour to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.

And if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, you’ll likely encounter some of Disney’s most famous eats! But even with a long list of popular snacks to choose from, the park is often adding new options, and this week we spotted a new one at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

We have been keeping a close eye on the construction since it started, and recently got a first look at all the merchandise coming! We have also been watching as Cast Member previews began off earlier this week. While we have seen the ride have its fair share of downtimes, we know they are still working out the kinks and we are looking forward to experiencing this attraction for the first time.
