I’ve decided that I’m going to be working from EVERY Disney World resort over the next couple of months to find out which one is the best to work from based on atmosphere, space, and outlet availability, and, of course, coffee! Bakso was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in October 2024 and made his debut on the Maharajah Jungle Trek in January 2025. Bakso is celebrating his second birthday at Disney a little early, because as it turns out, we won’t be seeing him at the park for much longer.

Disney World has trained us to operate on a fairly warped vacation clock. You can be standing in a theme park before 8 AM, eat a Mickey waffle while most sensible people are still locating their shoes, ride three attractions before 10 AM, and feel like you’ve already lived an entire day by the time lunch rolls around.
Which is why it can be particularly jarring to walk up to a Disney World restaurant at 11 AM and discover that the place isn’t even open yet.
We’ve been hearing you say the vibes at Disney World are off – they’ve been building neutral beige hotel rooms, there are fewer impromptu magical moments, you’re stuck on your phone all day, and it all comes with a higher price tag.
