There has been a lot of hype surrounding the new Jungle Cruise film!
Jungle Cruise World Premiere
Not only is the attraction being updated in both Disneyland and Disney World, but Disneyland held a special red carpet event for the world premiere of the movie. This film joins the line-up of movies that have been released on Disney+ and theaters, but now we’ve got a date for when Jungle Cruise will be free to ALL Disney+ subscribers!
It’s a very merry unbirthday! Well, actually — it’s not for everyone. Today is the one day of the year that you CAN’T say “It’s a very merry unbirthday” to Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.
Alice at EPCOT
Disney has recently announced a special limited-edition Alice doll, and a new Mary Blair-inspired collection based on the film will be released soon. However, you can celebrate 70 years of Alice in Wonderland with plenty of new phone wallpapers that D23 just released!
COVID-19 cases are growing again in California with the new Delta Variant causing surges in the hospitalizations.

Now, leaders in California are taking new measures in order to control the growth of cases.
Disney has made several movies based off of popular attractions from the parks.
Pirates of the Caribbean
The most famous (and successful) of those being the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. There’s also the much anticipated Jungle Cruise movie, which comes out July 30th! One ride that’s getting a second shot at a live-action movie is the Haunted Mansion. Disney already gave us the 2003 film with Eddie Murphy, but it only achieved moderate success. However, we know that a NEW live-action Haunted Mansion movie is in the works and we just found out who might be in the cast!
Due to a rise in COVID-19 case numbers, Orange County, Florida is now under a state of emergency.
Health and Safety Reminders Sign
At this time, government officials are encouraging everyone to get vaccinated and recommending mask-wearing indoors once again. Now, it seems that these updated mask rules will affect Central Florida theme parks soon.
The Florida county where the majority of Walt Disney World is located is now under a State of Emergency.

Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their mask guidelines for vaccinated individuals in the U.S.. Today, Orange County, Florida Mayor Jerry Demings gave an update on the current state of COVID-19 infections in the community. The Mayor has signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency in an attempt to avoid another shutdown. The state of emergency will last 7 days.

We’ve seen animatronics without hands, Princess Anna without a face, and a plant replacing Donald Duck. Seriously, y’all, we’ve seen some things. 😲
Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming up QUICK!
Cinderella Castle
The whole resort is getting ready, with plans for a new fireworks show, new cavalcades, golden character statues around the parks, a new ride opening, and MORE! 50 years is a big deal, so you know celebrations are going to reflect that. There’s even a place outside of Disney World where you can celebrate the historic anniversary as well!
Due to the changing situation with COVID-19, mask rules have changed in select places.
Face masks
Already, masks are required indoors in Los Angeles County, California and Universal Studios Hollywood. Yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also updated their guidance regarding wearing masks indoors. Now, one major Florida attraction has updated their mask rules.
