is in on the Christmas and holiday action this season with some seasonally-themed comfort food. This is a bread-lover’s stop on the Disneyland Holiday Food Crawl.
This is where you can get your Snowman or Candy Cane shaped bread this season. (Seriously, this place always SMELLS SO GOOD!) And while we were here we dove into their hearty soup in a bread bowl. [Read more…]
It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort!
Not only does that mean decorations, pumpkins, parties, and overlays – it means all kinds of great food to try! Our Halloween Time visit to California Adventure’s Pacific Wharf Cafe did not disappoint.
Pacific Wharf Cafe is serving up some Halloween and Fall themed treats with some help from their neighbor, Boudin Bakery. [Read more…]

I know it’s hard to believe, with so many truly delicious bread puddings available at Walt Disney World Resort (‘Ohana Bread Pudding at Polynesian Village Resort, Butterscotch Bread Pudding at Plaza Restaurant, Ger’s Bread Pudding at Raglan Road — to name a few crowd pleasers!), but we totally have a new favorite! You can find it at House of Blues in Disney Springs’ West Side!
You know which Resort Counter Service location has a couple of fun options for breakfast?
Good’s Food to Go at Old Key West Resort!
Now, you may be thinking, “Great! Wait…. where?” And that’s fair enough. Because Good’s Food to Go isn’t exactly what you might call a high profile location. While Olivia’s Cafe — Old Key West’s Table Service restaurant — has earned its great reputation (though it still flies under the radar due to its non-park-centric location), Good’s Food to Go is hardly known at all.
Which makes sense. You’ll soon see that it’s not “destination dining,” per se.
Even though its surroundings reflect the fun and tropical Keys vibe of the Resort (and it’s tucked right next to what is possibly the cutest little bar in all of Disney World, the Gurgling Suitcase)… [Read more…]

We’re at ‘Ohana!! And ‘Ohana means FAMILY.
From the moment you enter ‘Ohana, you’re informed (or reminded, for returning guests) of the meaning of the restaurant’s name. This family-friendly spot is perched atop the Great Ceremonial House at the Polynesian Village Resort, and it’s become a must-dine for guests of all ages — including Disney World first timers!
The warmth of the atmosphere at ‘Ohana really makes you feel like you’re part of a massive extended family (where your server is your cousin), and that’s a really good thing.
‘Ohana has two dining experiences. Breakfast features characters with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, and the Main Mouse himself. Dinner, on the other hand, is not a character meal, but still includes entertainment (which I’ll show you in this post). In either case, meals are all-you-care-to-enjoy. And while I really do love breakfast here, my most recent visit was for dinner.
You are very welcome here at ‘Ohana! [Read more…]
It’s HOOLEY Time!
The Sixth Annual Great Irish Hooley kicks off TODAY at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World. And it promises to be an amazing weekend for music lovers, and all y’all who just really love having a grand time.
The music lineup is pretty incredible. We had the chance to hear the Lisa Canny Band perform earlier this week, and we were blown away. GO. SEE. HER. (And everyone else, for that matter.)
But you might be wondering what you can enjoy in the way of food while you’re enjoying the Hooley. Well, you’re in luck, because we’re sharing a few of the newer menu items that we recently had the chance to sample. [Read more…]

Mark your calendars, as the Hooley kicks off at 3:00PM on Friday September 1, and runs clean through the weekend, to end late on Labor Day, Monday, September 4.

During my recent visit to Disneyland, I decided it was time to check in once more with one of my favorite counter service spots, Pacific Wharf Cafe in Disney California Adventure.
The restaurant is located on Pacific Wharf (natch), and features a San Francisco signature item — Boudin Bakery’s famous Sourdough Bread — made in the bakery next door!
I really love the food here, and I’m especially partial to their hearty Soups served in Boudin Sourdough Bread Bowls.
On this visit, I figured it was time to introduce you to a few new flavors, though. So come with us as we explore some of Pacific Wharf’s other must-have menu items!
If you’ve spent any time on Cannery Row in Monterey, then Pacific Wharf Cafe will look familiar to you in terms of style. The restaurant is actually owned and operated by San Fran’s Boudin Bakery, a landmark of the city, dating back to 1849.
If you’d like to know more about the bread making process or the history of Boudin Bakery, be sure to take The Bakery Tour, which you’ll find just next door. (Yep — that bread baking smell isn’t piped in! They really really really bake fresh bread for the parks here every day!!! SO GOOD!)
Inside, the counter service stop is fairly straightforward in design. Warm wood paneling covers the walls, and exposed duct work echoes the industrial feel of the space. [Read more…]

With so many new spots to check out at Disney Springs, I was anxious to get back to a few of our longstanding favorites.
So on a recent visit to Walt Disney World, I took the opportunity to meet friends at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant.
If you’re familiar with the former Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island, then you know that Raglan Road used to front the Pleasure Island District, right next to the expansive parking lots.
Well, with the redesign of the entire area and the birth of Disney Springs, Raglan Road seems to have moved! Actually, it’s in exactly the same place…it’s just that Disney Springs has bubbled up right out front of the spot. 🙂
So to get your bearings, you need to think of what’s around the restaurant now. You’ll find it across the bridge from Sprinkles. And of course, Morimoto Asia is right next door. [Read more…]
