With the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe just about two months away — and preview days for Universal team members beginning — detailed photos of the park’s interior are FINALLY here.
Theme park fans have been waiting for this day for years. We’ve been right there with you — poring over every piece of concept art, analyzing every press release, and daydreaming about new rides. And at long last, the time has come. We went INSIDE Universal’s brand-new theme park in Orlando, Epic Universe. We stepped through the portals and dared to go on the biggest, wildest, most innovative new attractions in Orlando. And now? We’re sharing it ALL.

Alright. Here’s the lowdown. Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe officially opens on May 22nd, 2025. This park has been heralded as Universal’s “most ambitious theme park yet,” with theme park immersion and innovation we’ve never seen. There are over 50 new attractions. There are new restaurants. New gift shops. New shows. New stories! There’s a lot (like, a lot) to see and do, but we’re taking you along for the ride.
It’s almost here: the grand opening of Epic Universe.

Five NEW lands will open with Universal Orlando’s third theme park, including an original land called Celestial Park, as well as Dark Universe, How To Train Your Dragon — Island of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, and Super Nintendo World. We’ve already learned a lot about all of these lands, but Universal just shared even MORE details about some of the rides with The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s taken years, but FINALLY the Villains are getting the representation they deserve in not one, but TWO Orlando theme parks!
The new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom will feature fan-favorite Disney Villains from popular Walt Disney Animation Studios films and two new attractions.
Disney World has announced that a brand new Villains Land will be coming to the open area of land behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom in the coming years, and Universal Orlando is getting ready to open Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025, where one of the new lands is Dark Universe, celebrating all things classic Universal Monsters. While both of these lands focus on the villains in these stories, they’re going to be VERY different from each other, and we’re wondering which one will be visited more often!

USA Today and Universal just shared a sneak peek at some of the food that will be available at Epic Universe, and to say we are EXCITED is an understatement.
