Every day, there’s a ton of Disney news that ends up all over the Internet, and it’s honestly often hard to discern what’s real, what’s speculation, and what’s just a rumor. There are SO many sites covering Disney news, too, that sometimes you don’t know who to trust. But you can trust us because we make sure we’re doing everything we can to give you the REAL news and honest facts.

Well, this week, some Disney rumors started hitting the Internet, and although some seem like they may be true, they’re not, while others are oversimplifying more complex announcements. So let’s take a look at what we’ve heard this week and figure out what’s what.
In the world of Disney news, it can sometimes be hard to figure out what’s actually news — and what’s just a wild rumor. Chances are you’ve seen them swirling around the internet: tattoos are banned at the parks, Cinderella Castle is being dismantled because of a hurricane, turkey legs are made from emu meat — the list goes on.

Well, the good news is that we’re here to dispel all of those wild rumors, and in some cases, confirm them! There are a couple of new stories that have come out this week, and we’re sharing everything we know so that you have the most accurate information. Who’s a Disney expert? YOU ARE!

Because here’s the thing… there are a LOT of myths out there surrounding the Disney parks, and you may have heard more than one or two. Today we’re taking on 8 of those rumors in our latest DFB YouTube Video!
UPDATE 6/17/2015: Be Our Guest Restaurant began testing prix-fixe quick service breakfast beginning March 20 and it’s currently extended through October 3. Advance Dining Reservations for the meal opened on March 17. Breakfast hours are scheduled 8-10AM. Lunch
, Dinner…and now Breakfast?
Be Our Guest Restaurant has proven to be extraordinarily popular. It’s incredibly difficult to get a dinner advance dining reservation (ADR) a full two years after its opening. And lunch continues to be such an attraction that Disney seems to be moving toward a FastPass+ System for the quick service meal — something unprecedented.
But it’s looking more and more like we’ll all have another shot at dining in Beast’s Castle in the very near future.
We’ve been monitoring rumors forever it seems that Be Our Guest would begin serving breakfast. And it looks like that rumor is about to become a reality.
Our team has been checking daily to see if Be Our Guest is offering a breakfast ADR option…and as of today, they are! Now, before you run over and excitedly jam up the Disney website 😉 , I should mention that, while the breakfast option is showing up, it’s not bookable yet. When we try to book a table, we’re told that we can’t at this time.

We all know about the upcoming addition of Avatar Land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as well as the Rivers of Light Evening Spectacular.

But today, we’re also hearing news of more expansion coming to other areas of Animal Kingdom — including new eating options!
that construction is underway on an expansion to the Harambe Village area of Africa. The development is taking place in an area that was previously backstage. When completed, the new area, called Africa Marketplace, will provide additional retail space and will include a new walkway connecting Africa and Asia. Welcome news, right? After all, it can become crazy crowded in this area, with only one way in and out. Africa Marketplace will be located between Kilimanjaro Safari and Mombasa Marketplace.

UPDATE: Please note that as of February 25, 2015, FastPass+ is no longer available, as Be Our Guest Restaurant began to accept Advanced Dining Reservations for lunch. For further information, please click here.
This morning, we began hearing rumors of another twist in the having-lunch-at-Be Our Guest Restaurant-Saga.
According to our friends at AllEars, Disney is now only permitting guests who have a FastPass+ reservation to dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant during lunch service.
Effectively, this means that, at least for now, you no longer have the option to stand in line and wait for a table during the lunch service at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland.
While this may be welcome news for resort guests, it remains up in the air at press time what impact this will have on day guests, annual passholders, and others who are not staying at a Disney resort or who cannot get a FastPass+.
This is a developing story, so we’ll be sure to keep you informed as details emerge! For now, it looks like you’ll need to take advantage of a Be Our Guest FastPass+ Reservation Invitation, should one come your way.
