When we’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s one place we can always count on for a fun show, no line, and ice-cold air conditioning: Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie.

But Disney just put a wrench in our plans because Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie is closing for the second time this year!

Hollywood Studios is already home to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and even though Muppets Courtyard has been destroyed to welcome Monstropolis, Hollywood Studios still feels very Muppet-esque. Well, now it’s going to be a little bit more Muppet-y for a limited time.
Muppets fans, this is your time to get loud, weird, and very well dressed.

Between the current Muppets buzz at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s confirmed plans for Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets to open in summer 2026, Muppet energy is having a very real fashion moment in Disney World right now. Kermit has also been around since 1955, which means these shirts are doing that magical thing where they feel both nostalgic and weirdly cool at the same time. In other words, if your park outfit says, “I appreciate chaos, felt, and a frog with emotional depth,” you are in excellent company.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
From Olaf robots to Disney Parks expansion updates, Disney has kept us on our toes the past several weeks. In fact, it’s been a major news year altogether — especially at Disney World. We’ve said hello to new offerings, goodbye to park staples, and a December announcement revealed that we’ll be saying BOTH hello AND goodbye to versions of a popular Disney World roller coaster!
HUGE news out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We now know when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closing for its refurbishment.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Disney has announced that the current version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will close on March 2nd, 2026, to make way for the new Muppets overlay! That means that your last day to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith is March 1st, 2026.
It’s time to pull your Christmas tree out of storage and hang up the ornaments. Sorry, we don’t make the rules! Once Disney World starts decorating, we start feeling envious of their massive trees and need to make our ornaments really stand out.

While no official closing date has been announced yet, Disney has confirmed that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open in summer 2026. Not only that, but they’ve confirmed that there will be a brand-new Scooter animatronic — and they’ve teased that there could potentially be more.
I’d be lying if I said tears weren’t shed when MuppetVision was given its final show date. While not everything was quickly forgotten, it’s hard not to feel excited for the new Muppet roller coaster in Hollywood Studios.
