While many fans are sad that Muppets Courtyard will be closing soon to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. Land, there are still many special Muppets things to get excited about. The Muppets will be leaving Muppets Courtyard, but they’re headed to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Sunset Boulevard. But that’s not all fans can be excited about; we recently spotted a new very FANCY Miss Piggy watch that every Muppets fan is going to want!

A new Villains stage show that’s replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, a new version of The Little Mermaid stage show in Animation Courtyard, and of course, the brand-new Monsters, Inc.-inspired land that’s taking over Muppets Courtyard are all on the calendar. But what about the updates to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster? We foresee a bit of a problem there!
Some BIG news was dropped recently for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios
Disney officially announced that the new Monsters, Inc. Land will be replacing Muppets Courtyard at Hollywood Studios. This announcement confirmed several things — the Muppets will be removed from the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and a whole new theater show is coming to Monsters, Inc. Land. The announcement also confirmed that the beloved Muppet*Vision 3D show will be removed, but we also spotted a subtle and mysterious clue that has us questioning what might be in store for this popular show!
Disney recently announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is going to be rethemed with The Muppets. Disney adults DEFINITELY had some thoughts about this announcement and fans are VERY divided on whether Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets is a good idea or not.

Currently, the attraction is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and features a variety of songs from this iconic rock band. However, the roller coaster attraction on Sunset Boulevard will soon be taken over by The Muppets as the new Monsters, Inc. land moves into the Muppets Courtyard area of Hollywood Studios. Back at D23, Disney announced that an official Monsters, Inc. themed land would be coming to Hollywood Studios. Well, we officially got confirmation on where this new land will be going, but we also got some news we weren’t expecting AT ALL!

The new Monsters, Inc. land will be taking over the Muppets area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, BUT this isn’t the end of The Muppets in Hollywood Studios. In fact, The Muppets are being moved elsewhere in Hollywood Studios.
