It’s hard to believe that summer is flying right by us in Disney World, and it will soon be August, and where did the time go? It seems like we were just enjoying the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival and spring, but soon, we’ll be ushering in fall, which means all things pumpkin spice and the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

Well, that’s not the only change happening in EPCOT in August 2026. So let’s take a look at next month in EPCOT!
One of our favorite places to shop might surprise you because it isn’t Disney Springs.
France Pavilion
Instead, one of our favorite places to shop is EPCOT’s World Showcase, where you can find unique items from every country represented in the park. You can get fun troll dolls in Norway, beautiful ornaments in Germany, Venetian masquerade masks in Italy, Japanese snacks in Japan, and more. However, if you plan on shopping in the France Pavilion, you might notice that one store there is now closed.
Sometimes it feels like you can see closures or construction in Disney World practically everywhere you look.
EPCOT
Right now, EPCOT is the park with the least construction, partly due to the fact that it’s the only park not getting an entire new land. However, if you look closely, you’ll find small projects throughout the park, like La Poutinerie, which has a planned opening date of July 1st. Another one is about to join the list, though, and we’ll be without this World Showcase store for a few months.
When it comes to shopping at Disney World, you’ll find some of the absolute best stores in EPCOT’s World Showcase!
France Pavilion
Where else can you find sweets from the United Kingdom, funky chip flavors from China, and perfume from France all in one place?! We could spend hours just perusing through each and every shop, and oftentimes, we do. If you’re like us, then there’s an upcoming EPCOT store closure you need to know about in the France Pavilion.
