At D23, we finally got to hear all about the Magic Kingdom expansion!
Magic Kingdom is about to receive significant upgrades. Villains Land will be added “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain,” and a new Cars Land will replace Tom Sawyer Island. While we know that some Disney fans have mixed emotions about the addition of Cars Land in Frontierland, we have some good news!
Magic Kingdom has some BIG changes in store for it in the coming years!
Magic Kingdom will be getting a new nighttime parade called “Disney Starlight” in 2025, and Disney has also announced that a Villains Land AND a Cars Land will be coming to Magic Kingdom. Disney fans have been very divided over the new Cars Land, especially the proposed location. But what will the impact of this Frontierland change really be?
As we were making our way around Magic Kingdom this morning, we spotted something mysterious…
We want to make sure you have the most up-to-date and useful information about Disney World, so we are in the parks EVERY single day! We want to make sure you know about all the latest treats, but we are also here to give you a heads-up when something is a bit amiss.

So, although we’ve talked a lot recently about the menu changes at Sleepy Hollow — to our beloved Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich and how we tried to doctor the new Mickey Waffle version, some of the other menu items here needed a little love, too. A lot of things can happen that can impact your day in Disney World.
For example, bad weather can close rides, cancel entertainment, and more (it’s also why we tell you to ALWAYS pack rain gear). Sometimes, rides have technical issues and close while those issues are fixed behind the scenes. Sometimes, things just happen, and we don’t know why, but something odd was going on in Magic Kingdom this morning, resulting in the cancelation of two cavalcades.
We’re HUGE fans of some of the classic dining spots around Disney World, and Magic Kingdom is home to some old favorites! Between the classic rides, classic characters, and classic restaurants at this park, there’s plenty to keep us busy at Magic Kingdom. But one of our favorite things to do is sit down for a nice, filling meal. And that’s exactly what we’re doing today!

Dessert!
In our continuous journey to visit every single Disney World restaurant, we’ve had some real winners and some that didn’t leave much of a lasting impression on us at all. So, that gave us an idea — would a beloved Magic Kingdom restaurant STILL stand up to the test of time?
There is a new character in Magic Kingdom!
If you stroll the streets of Liberty Square, you may know about the doll in the window and the boy that we nicknamed “Tomato Baby” in Liberty Tree Tavern. Well, now there is a new character in town, but similar to the doll and “Tomato Baby,” this character is not the typical walk-around character that you may be used to meeting in the park.
When we mention Magic Kingdom, we bet you’re already thinking about your favorite places.
Maybe you love just hanging out in Fantasyland, surrounded by magic, Wonderland, and the occasional visit by Peter Pan. Maybe the Wild West vibes are more your thing, or maybe you just HAVE to be in Adventureland, where the smell of pineapple Dole Whip permeates the air. Well, we’ve got a favorite place, and the best way to spend some time in Magic Kingdom, and we’re going to tell you about it.
We’ve got some news straight from Magic Kingdom!
From weather-related closures to refurbishment updates, we see rides close in Disney World pretty often. Recently, parts of Florida have been dealing with Hurricane Idalia for the past few days, and Disney World has not been spared from the weather. While the parks didn’t close, certain experiences outside of them did, and many outdoor rides could not run while the storm was happening. In the midst of the bad weather, one classic ride just reopened after its temporary refurbishment. Let’s take a look!
