Sometimes we see those changes coming and sometimes we don’t. Last month, a few things definitely caught us off guard. Here are the three most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in August!

We’re taking in all that the fall season around Disney World has to offer, from treats to merch to Not-So-Scary parties! But, just because Halloween is here doesn’t mean that construction has stopped, so let’s take a look at the biggest Disney World construction updates from this week!
It’s spooky season in Disney World and you know what that means — LOTS of Hocus Pocus fun!
The Binx paw…
We’ve already had a chance to see the Sanderson Sisters at Mickey’s Not-So-Very Scary Halloween Party. We even found a fun photo op celebrating the upcoming premiere of Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney+! PLUS we tried a Binx-themed snack that was SUPPOSED to be a Binx Pastry Tail but was actually a Binx Pastry PAW at the beginning of August. NOW, though, we have the Binx Pastry Tail snack!
Sometimes things don’t go as planned in Disney World.

You spend months planning your trip, making dining reservations and park pass reservations, but your trip will probably not go 100% as planned. Fan-favorite rides close all of the time (we’re looking at you Rise of the Resistance), transportation can cause issues trying to get to the parks, and weather can put a damper on your plans. We recently experienced a problem that impacted rope drop in Disney World and we’re here to share it with you!

We’re getting ready to head into a holiday weekend with Labor Day on Monday, plus we recently got some exciting announcements about meet-and-greets returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and specialty cocktails that are coming soon to Magic Kingdom! With SO much going on in the Disney World parks, we’re there almost every day so we can bring you the latest and greatest when it comes to Disney news. Thousands of people visit the parks daily, and those numbers only increase when it comes to special events and holiday weekends. We’ve seen quite the lull in crowds recently, but with Labor Day Weekend on the horizon, we could see a surge in attendance. We’re in the parks scoping everything out to help be prepared if you’re heading to Disney World this weekend, so let’s see what the crowds look like!
Ride-themed Minnie ears are a big trend in Disney World right now, but most of them are part of the Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction merchandise series. However, today we spotted some NEW ride-themed ears that we weren’t expecting!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
The new ears are themed to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which is a fairly controversial ride over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The ride itself is really fun, but it took the place of the beloved Great Movie Ride, which has definitely upset a few fans.
