We’re back at Magic Kingdom!
We’ve been dodging a few raindrops to see what new construction, food, and merchandise updates we could spot for you since our last visit! Let’s take a look at everything that’s NEW!
While the theme parks and hotels are still closed, we waltzed by the entrance to Disneyland Park on our way to Downtown Disney today!
For all intents and purposes, everything looked pretty normal at first, but as we passed by we noticed that a bit of construction was taking place at The Emporium.
It’s been a soggy day at Magic Kingdom! But those gray clouds haven’t put a damper on the fun!
A little rain isn’t going to keep the Disney Princesses away! Although they couldn’t come out on horseback or wave to us from their majestic and MASSIVE castle float today, they came up with a creative way to greet the fans while staying nice and dry!
Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom reopened to guests on July 11th, and in the days since, we’ve been paying visits to many of our favorite dining spots in the park.
And when we’re talking about favorite restaurants in Magic Kingdom, that definitely includes The Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A.! This Table Service eatery serves up comfort dishes like Home-Style Meatloaf and Plaza Loaded Fries along with Ice Cream Sundaes and more… all while providing views of Cinderella Castle. [Read more…]
Earlier this month, Disney launched a super fun at-home project giving you the printables and instructions you need to create your very own 3-D model of Main Street, U.S.A., complete with parade floats from the new Magic Happens Parade in Disneyland!
If you missed the original release of the series — known as Disney Paper Parks — you can get the scoop (and start your own project) here! And now, the fun continues as Disney has provided MORE printable 3D activity sheets to add even more buildings from Main Street (like the Penny Arcade and Candy Palace) and parade floats (like Frozen 2 and Cinderella) with Part Two of Disney Paper Parks! Walt Disney World is reopening in phases this week. We caught up with everything new and missing at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom during the Annual Passholder previews.
Some art experiences were not in operation at Magic Kingdom yesterday. Most notably, the artists who typically perform custom parasol painting, caricatures, and hand-cut paper silhouettes were unavailable. We also noticed ornament customization was halted at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe (a Cast Member mention it should resume sometime soon). [Read more…]
Lately, it seems like if we’re not working on a jigsaw puzzle, we’re probably busy doing a DIY Disney craft!
And today, Disney has just debuted an adorable new activity called Disney Paper Parks!
The year is not even halfway over but we are already thinking about the holiday season in Disney World.
And it seems like many of you readers have the holidays on your minds TOO, because we get the same question all the time: “When does Disney decorate for Christmas?” (And whether you want the year to be flying by so fast or not, you can make those Advance Dining Reservations for Christmas day NEXT MONTH.)
So today we’re laying out a timeline of when you can expect to see Christmas decor popping up all throughout the Most Magical Place on Earth just in case it helps your planning!
Recently, Disney shared a moving video showing the raising of the American flag in a ceremony that still takes place daily at Magic Kingdom even while Walt Disney World is closed until further notice.
The flag ceremony takes place on Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. every morning as well, while Disneyland Resort also remains temporarily closed. And now a live look at today’s ceremony in Disneyland, which took place at approximately 6:30 AM this morning, has also been shared. [Read more…]
Sometimes, geography keeps us from the places we love. We can’t help but feel down when we’re far away from Disney World! We’ve made valiant attempts to recreate the magic at home by listening to Disney music, cooking Disney recipes, and shopping for the latest spirit jerseys. If only there was a way to magically transport ourselves to the Most Magical Place on Earth…
While we might not be able to be there in person, we can “fool” our co-workers with some customizable backdrops for our work calls! We rounded up some of our favorite places in Disney World for you to download and use as if you’re holding your virtual meetings from the parks, resorts, and more!
Our handy (and portable!) ebook guides make sure you get the best deals and can plan a vacation of a lifetime.
