We’ve been closely following the construction on Portillo’s, which opened TODAY near Disney World. This rock ‘n’ roll-themed diner encountered quite a few delays in its opening, and we sure are excited to finally be onsite for our fix of Chicago-style food.
It’s been a long but exciting road for the Portillo’s near Disney World!

The Chicago-style chain announced its Orlando location in 2019, and our mouths started watering. But the opening was delayed not once, but twice, leaving us wondering WHEN we’d actually get to enjoy our Italian Vienna beef sandwiches, char-broiled burgers, and hot dogs. But now the time has come, friends!
We’ve seen a LOT of new things coming to Orlando recently, specifically in the realm of food.

We’re gearing up for the opening of the world’s largest White Castle, along with the appearance of Portillo’s near the parks. On top of that, Gordon Ramsey announced that he will soon be opening a restaurant in Icon Park. Then today, we learned that a new bowling and restaurant chain is coming to the area, all the way from Chicago!

Sure, we LOVE the food inside Disney World, but we keep ya posted on what’s going on outside of the parks, too! Recently, we’ve been keeping you updated on the construction of 3 restaurants coming to the Disney World area: Portillo’s, White Castle, and Cowboy Chicken. And now, a Louisiana-based chicken chain could be on the way, too.

From our EPCOT festival must-haves to special snack hacks, we’re Disney food pros, if we do say so ourselves. But two new restaurants are opening OFF-property that just may have us hoppin’ in our cars and driving…dare we say it…away from Disney World! And if you’re lookin’ for some good eats in the Walt Disney World area, these 2 new fast food spots just may have ya covered.
By this time next year Orlando might be looking a lot like the midwest if you check out the eateries around Disney World!

In addition to White Castle, Portillo’s is opening a new location near Disney World so we’ll finally be able to get our Chicago-style fix without having to bear the cold! But, we’re going to have to wait a little while longer because the opening date has been delayed…again.

Portillo’s, a Chicago-style fast food chain, announced its Orlando location in 2019. It was supposed to open on March 2nd, 2021, but that date was pushed back just a few weeks ago. No new opening date was announced — until today!
We’re pretty excited for some Chicago-style eats at Portillo’s near Disney World.

The midwestern chain announced its Orlando location in 2019, and we’ve been getting ready to dig into Italian Vienna beef sandwiches, char-broiled burgers, and Chicago-style Vienna beef hot dogs ever since. Just last month, Portillo’s revealed it would be opening on March 2nd, 2021! But now, that date has been delayed.

As you might have heard, White Castle is making it’s way to the Disney World area (We can’t WAIT to get our hands on those burgers!), but that’s not the only exciting joint coming soon. Back in 2019, it was announced that Chicago-style favorite Portillo’s would be joining the eats line-up near Disney World and now we know when!
