Disneyland has agreed to settle a high-profile class-action lawsuit for $233 million.

Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Times confirmed that the Walt Disney Company approved a preliminary settlement covering back pay with interest for 50,0000 current and former Disney employees.

Recently the company has faced lawsuits from Cast Members and Disney Parks visitors, as well as a lawsuit concerning the company’s new sports streaming service. Disney was also recently sued by Disneyland Magic Key holders, which ended in Disney agreeing to settle. A judge ordered a settlement in that lawsuit and details were finalized. Now, those details have been released about when Magic Key holders can get their payout from that settlement.
There are so many airlines to choose from when planning your Disney World vacation. The DeSantis-appointed Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board’s state lawsuit against Disney came shortly after the House of Mouse filed a federal lawsuit against the Board and DeSantis with Disney filing a countersuit in August 2023. But, the two parties have now entered into a settlement agreement for the state-level cases. So, what does that mean for the federal suit?

While we’re still waiting on a ruling in appeal Disney filed in the federal case, the state case filed by the CFTOD has continued on without much drama. The CFTOD lawsuit came shortly after Disney filed a lawsuit against the Board and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with the board officially filing its own suit in May 2023 and Disney filing a countersuit in August. But now, it looks like the CFTOD and Disney have officially reached a settlement.
