When it comes to Disney World, it can be either the most magical time of your life or a trip you don’t mention for years until it finally becomes funny to talk about how bad it went.

AMKEN Waist Fan
That might sound dramatic, but it’s really true! There are a lot of aspects of Disney World that make it a one-time trip for people, like the crowds, long lines, prices, and the HEAT. We’ve spent over 15 years learning the best tips for crowds, strategies to avoid lines, and ways to budget. Now, this new online find might be just the way to fight those detrimental summer days.
Let’s be honest: surviving a Disney World day in the middle of Florida heat is basically an endurance sport. Between the miles of walking, standing in outdoor queues, and trying not to melt during a 2PM parade, personal fans are one of those essentials that can make or break your trip.
We’ve tried handheld fans, misting fans, clip-on stroller fans — you name it. Most of them work for a little while, but they either die too quickly, don’t blow strong enough, or are just plain annoying to hold all day. But then we tested something new, and suddenly… we can never go back.
Disney is finally making a long-awaited change, and we’re just a wee bit nervous.
At the 2025 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney made a surprise announcement that major changes were coming to the iconic Carousel of Progress at the Magic Kingdom. A Walt Disney animatronic — similar to the one that debuted at Disneyland earlier this year — will now be part of the attraction’s pre-show, and the entire presentation will be updated, likely with a new finale.
There’s a “Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” coming to the Magic Kingdom…
At the 2025 Destination D23 event, Disney shocked the fanbase with a somewhat out-of-nowhere announcement that one of the Magic Kingdom’s most legendary shows – and one of my all-time favorites over 30 years of visiting Disney theme parks – the Carousel of Progress is getting a massive refurbishment.
Disneyland history is one of those things that we could learn about forever and ever because there are so many stories about Disneyland’s development and early days that we still haven’t completely heard.
Sure, we know about how Walt dreamed up Disneyland when he was watching his children ride a carousel. We’ve also paid tribute to his apartment that still sits above the Main Street Fire Station on Main Street, U.S.A. (and where a light is always kept on for him). We’ve watched ALL the documentaries on Disney+, including The Imagineering Story. Well, the woman behind The Imagineering Story is giving us a brand-new Disneyland documentary, Disneyland Handcrafted.
Disney knows how to sell the magic—but sometimes the myths go a little too far.
Over the years, a lot of stories have circulated around the parks. Some are wild fan theories, others are just good old-fashioned misunderstandings, and a few are urban legends that just won’t die. We’re breaking down the most common “Disney lies” fans believed for way too long—and yep, we believed a few of these ourselves.
The long-awaited Walt Disney animatronic has made its long-awaited debut at Disneyland, but our readers are still somewhat split on the latest addition to the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
In 2024, Disney announced that a brand-new Walt Disney animatronic show would be coming to Disneyland. Running in the park’s Opera House (it will eventually share the space with a refurbished Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln), the show is described by Disney as a “cinematic journey tracing Walt’s life from his early endeavors to the bright lights of Los Angeles and beyond. The experience culminates with a visit to Walt’s office. Here, encounter Walt like never before: watch as he shares heartfelt stories, anecdotes and words of wisdom through the magic of the Audio-Animatronics storytelling he helped pioneer.” Walt Disney – A Magical Life is accompanied by an exhibit with artifacts from San Francisco’s Walt Disney Family Museum.
A brand-new attraction has opened in Disneyland Park! We have been eagerly awaiting its opening, and the time has finally come.
Walt Disney — A Magical Life has officially opened inside the Main Street Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A. This new attraction is now welcoming guests today, July 17th, 2025. However, if you are hoping to watch this new show, you need to know how you can get a spot in line! And you are going to have to be QUICK to snag that spot in line.
Disney is currently celebrating the 70th anniversary of Disneyland, and to go along with the festivities, we’re getting incredible souvenirs!
You might have seen the new Walt Disney animatronic that debuted in Disneyland for the show Walt Disney — A Magical Life. The show welcomes you into Walt’s office, and now you can take part in the magic home with you.
