A Walt Disney animatronic is coming to the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

At this past summer’s D23 event. Disney announced that a NEW show – – featuring an animatronic Walt Disney – – was coming to Disneyland. And now, we know when it’s arriving!
If you’ve been paying attention to Disney news over the past few years, you’ve probably heard the name Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID). This now-transformed and newly named special district essentially functions as its own government and has done so since 1967, when it was first created.

The RCID has undergone some significant changes over the years including being renamed to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) and falling under the control of Florida’s governor. But, just how did Disney end up creating its own government?
We know it can be a big bummer if you’re visiting a Disney park and a ride goes down for refurbishment, but it’s always exciting when that ride reopens.

Sometimes those refurbishments are just an opportunity for Disney to spruce up things on the ride a bit. Sometimes, it’s just time to give the rides some extra maintenance. Other times, rides get new vehicles, tracks, themes, and more. Well, one classic Disney ride has been closed for a while now, but it’s set to reopen SOON.
It’s a big weekend for The Walt Disney Company.

D23: The Ultimate Fan Event is happening RIGHT NOW, and we are getting all kinds of announcements about Disney attractions, experiences, and the parks. Now, we’ve got some HUGE news to share coming out of Disneyland: a classic attraction there will soon be replaced (kind of).
With less than a month away from the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom and a bit over a month until the start of Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, we think it is the perfect time to start planning your costumes!

There has been a change on Main Street, U.S.A., recently, but it may not be very obvious to some.

Disney World has seen so many changes over the last few years! From additions like Tron Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom to the completion of the EPCOT Transformation, Disney World has been in a state of change. And this is good. Walt once said that Disneyland will never be completed, and the same goes for Disney World! Well, recently, there was a new change on Main Street, but this time, it benefitted Cast Members!
Since Disney CEO Bob Iger returned to the company in 2022, he knew he had some incredibly important tasks to check off his To-Do List.

But, there’s one task that might prove to be the most integral to the future of Disney — choosing a successor to replace him once his contract expires. Though his contract has already been extended once since his return, it’s set to expire in 2026. Rumblings of who’s on Iger’s shortlist to replace him have been swirling for a while, and it’s possible we could get an announcement sooner than we originally thought.
We go to Disney World every day, and while we are there, we hear some pretty crazy things.

Even though Walt Disney passed away back in December of 1966, his private office has been lovingly restored and maintained by the dutiful staff of the Walt DisneyArchives. Each detail has been meticulously maintained to achieve historical accuracy, ands give a glimpse into how Walt and his original Imagineers worked during the early golden age of Disney park development.
Since Bob Iger returned as CEO of the Walt Disney Company, we all knew he’d be tasked with something extremely important: find and train his successor.
