We’ve been admiring all of the beautiful trees at the Christmas Tree Stroll and trying ALL kinds of tasty snacks in Disney Springs!

But, before we could enjoy all of the holiday festivities there, we had to go through the temperature check and the new security checks going on here. Yesterday we shared that these security screenings were now in place in the parking garages in Disney Springs, but today we’ve got some photos and more details to show you what this is like.
No surprise here, we’re sharing some more holiday-related news! This week, Disney has been releasing holiday updates like crazy, and we’re NOT complaining!

Some exciting holiday-related news has just come from Walt Disney World Golf! If you’re trying to find a gift for the golf-lover in your life, this may be for you!
We’ve been snacking around Disney World today as the holiday season officially kicks off! Already we’ve tried Frozen Hot Chocolates in Hollywood Studios as well as a rather BIZARRE Pistachio Chai Tea Float in Magic Kingdom.

Disney also has several new festive churros around the parks, including the Gingerbread and Apple Chip and Dale Churros from Westward Ho. You would think that we were done finding churros, but that is where you would be wrong, friends!
We have tried a LOT of new treats in Disney World lately!

Just today, we tried some NEW items in Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, a festive cupcake with a hidden Mickey in Magic Kingdom, and a milkshake with TWO cakes on top of it. And now we’re trying ANOTHER NEW treat and it is a great, big, beautiful milkshake!
Here at DFB, we aren’t known to say no to dessert. We love trying out the different flavors and creations that Disney makes!

Our love for everything sweet has made us really excited about these ice cream flavors being released by Salt & Straw! There’s something a little bit different about these flavors though…they could be a part of our Thanksgiving meals!
We’re REALLY glad we wore our stretchy pants today because we’ve eaten so many holiday treats already (and it’s only the first day of the season)!
Christmas in the Magic Kingdom
As we’ve walked around the Magic Kingdom, we’ve tried Gingerbread and Apple Churros, Let It Snow Taco, and the very strange Pistachio Chai Tea Float. But, even though we’ve been making our snack list and checking it twice, there was a SURPRISE dessert that popped up over at Storybook Treats!
Disneyland has been closed for almost eight months now and it may remain closed for a while.

Still, that doesn’t mean that it’s a total ghost town behind the gate. With no guests in the park, crews can work on a bunch of different construction projects without having to keep out of guest areas — and work they are.
We love stopping by the newly-reopened Fossil Fun Games over at DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

We’ve slowly started to see more carnival game booths opening up over the past few months, and we even noticed there’s now a new place where you can buy game tickets! Today, though, we noticed another booth had reopened!
This week has been busy in the parks and online as there was a bit of a misstep on the Disney World dining reservation page. This past Tuesday, there was a VERY surprising amount of availability for popular restaurants whose bookings tend to sell out quickly.

After many guests made reservations for spots like Be Our Guest and Chef Mickey’s (including us!), the site went down with technical difficulties. We later shared that these surprise reservations were ultimately released due to a glitch and would be canceled.
