VIDEO: New Groundbreaking Details Shared About Disney World's Star Wars Hotel!

We have been keeping a close eye on all of the work being done for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (a.k.a. the Star Wars hotel) in Disney World.

We’ve shared a peek at a new poster that reveals some interesting details, and shared photos showing just what the hotel itself looks like right now. We’ve also heard about some of the dining experiences coming to the hotel and even marveled at the EPIC lightsaber that guests at the hotel will be able to see. Ready to learn even more about this unique Star Wars experience? Today, Disney has dropped some seriously GROUNDBREAKING info!

Not too long ago, Disney shared that they were planning to release WAY more details about Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser soon. And that day has finally arrived! For starters, the hotel is officially opening SPRING 2022.

Now, let’s go through some of the details Disney has recently revealed about the Star Wars hotel.

Arrival

When you arrive at the Star Wars hotel, you’ll enter a Launch Pod and travel straight into space where you’ll dock at the Starcruiser, The Halcyon. That’ll be your home for the next two days and two nights of your trip.

After you’re on the ship, you’ll later use another transport pod to get back to visit Galaxy’s Edge later on in your experience!

The Experience

When it comes to your time on the Halcyon itself, you’ll have a lot of decisions to make. Just what type of Star Wars story do you want to live out? Are you going to help the bad guys? Train to be a Jedi? On the ship, you’ll have the opportunity to do so many things including train with a lightsaber, interact with your favorite characters (and encounter new ones), and even operate the ship’s defense systems!

Imagineers have mentioned that you can help smuggle characters onto the ship, gain the trust of characters to help them with missions, and discover hidden parts of the ship!

Dining

So far, we’ve heard about the Crown of Corellia Dining Room (where guests will be entertained by a Twi’lek galactic superstar and enjoy breakfast, lunch, and a lavish multi-course dinner) and The Sublight Lounge (where you’ll be able to grab a beverage and maybe even play a game of Sabacc)!

Today, Disney revealed even more about what we can expect from the dining experiences on the Halcyon. The food and experiences will be unlike any we’ve seen at Disney before, taking inspiration from locations and dishes in the Star Wars lore!

Hotel Room

Ready to look out into space while in your passenger cabin? Well, you’ll be able to enjoy some spectacular views…

…and maybe even sleep in a space bunk during your stay.
