Things are changing all around Disneyland Resort!
Four fan-favorite restaurants are reopening soon, new luxury hotels have opened nearby, and Trader Sam’s will soon be taking reservations. Now, more changes are on the way for a very special Disneyland Cast Member program!
According to a video shared by the Disneyland Ambassador page on Instagram, applications are now open for the next Disney Ambassador for Disneyland Resort!
What is a Disney Ambassador? Well, the Disneyland Resort Ambassador Program actually dates all the way back to 1965. That’s when Walt Disney selected the first Ambassador — Julie Reihm.
The Disney Ambassadors act as “Emissaries of Goodwill” for the resort, media representatives, and official hosts to resort guests. The Disneyland Public Affairs website notes that, as official spokespeople, the Ambassadors “offer the outside community a personal relationship with the Resort.”
Recently, Disney World announced their new Ambassadors, and Disney has also announced that there will be a Global Ambassador specific to the 50th Anniversary. But now it’s Disneyland’s turn to get some new Ambassadors, and the search is officially on!
In the video, the current Disneyland Ambassadors took a look back at their first day on the job. Check it out below.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates about the Ambassadors and share all the details with you when Disney announces the new Disneyland Ambassador(s). Stay tuned for more updates.
