Although Disneyland only reopened in April, a LOT has been going on at the resort!
After the reopening, Avengers Campus opened, and then the Jungle Cruise reopened after receiving a new storyline. Not to mention, Splash Mountain will soon get a new story at both Disneyland and Disney World. But now, ANOTHER ride at Disneyland is about to get an update!
Changes are coming soon to Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park. According to the Orange County Register, Jessica Rabbit is set to take over the starring role of the ride with a backstory that will feature her as a detective investigating a crime wave that has hit ToonTown.
Jessica Rabbit will be featured as the newest private eye in Toontown, and she’ll be on the lookout for the Toon Patrol Weasels who are responsible for a rise in crime.
Disney has shared that it will update scenes in the ride to mesh with the new story. Specifically, Disney officials have indicated that the scene featuring Jessica Rabbit and the weasels with an automobile, as well as the finale scene of the ride will be updated. The Orange County Register shares that the scene with Jessica tied up in the trunk of a car has already been updated. Jessica has now been replaced by barrels of Dip (the thing from the Roger Rabbit film that can dissolve cartoons).
