This past week has been a BIG one for Disney World, specifically EPCOT! The park celebrated its 39th Anniversary on October 1st (the same day as the big 5-0 in Magic Kingdom), and its anniversary was greeted by new fireworks, new dining experiences, and much more!
A lot has happened in EPCOT since we last checked in on what was new, including the premiere of a NEW fireworks show, Harmonious! Let’s recap what else is new in EPCOT this week.
EPCOT General Updates
Alright, we can’t have an update on what’s new at EPCOT without talking about the new nighttime offerings. Let’s start things off with Harmonious!
Harmonious officially premiered on October 1st with previews starting two nights prior, as the new nighttime spectacular around World Showcase Lagoon. It will now play nightly as a way to close out your day at EPCOT!
Before you leave EPCOT, be sure to stop by Spaceship Earth and check out its GORGEOUS new nighttime look.
Spaceship Earth is one of the four new “Beacons of Magic,” where the four park icons literally and figuratively “glow up” once the sun goes down. It’s truly stunning!
Back in World Showcase, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure also officially opened on October 1st after a few weeks of previews.
The ride currently uses the same virtual queue system we saw at Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We also experienced the first night of extended evening park hours at EPCOT. The night we visited, the park was open for an additional two hours for guests staying at Disney World Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa Resorts.
Crowds thinned out pretty early, giving guests an opportunity to practically walk onto their favorite EPCOT attractions as well as take in all of Spaceship Earth’s nighttime beauty! Select dining locations remain open during the extended evening hours, including Rose & Crown Pub.
Don’t forget that “Future World” in EPCOT is no more! Starting October 1st, the “front half” of EPCOT now breaks up into three new neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature!
Don’t get these new neighborhoods confused with one another on your next trip! Be sure to pick up a park map as you enter.

EPCOT Food Updates
Rose & Crown Dining Room
Speaking of new nighttime offerings, EPCOT also brought back its fireworks dining packages — one at Rose & Crown Dining Room and the other at Spice Road Table. Both provide waterfront views of Harmonious!
We took in the sights, sounds, and flavors at the Rose & Crown Dining Room fireworks package to see what it was all about!
If you don’t want to have to grab a spot early for Harmonious and you want to pair your fireworks viewing with some dinner, then you may want to check these dining packages out on your next visit!

Sunshine Seasons
On top of those two dining packages, EPCOT (along with the rest of Disney World) launched a TON of new treats for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Some EPCOT-exclusive treats include the Mini Chocolate Bundt Cake and the Lemon Chiffon Cake at Sunshine Seasons…
…as well as the Remy “Cheese” Cake, also at Sunshine Seasons!
All three desserts at Sunshine Seasons were inventive and tasty! Definitely check them out next time you’re at EPCOT.

Brew-Wing at The EPCOT Experience
Brew-Wing is still going strong at The EPCOT Experience as part of the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. The Festival didn’t debut many new items specifically for the 50th Anniversary, but this past week did bring with it the return of the Cronut!
Specifically, we’re talking about the EARidescent Croissant Doughnut, which is your traditional “cronut” with shimmery blue frosting and Mickey sprinkles on top! We thought this was a really tasty dessert that any sweets fan would enjoy.
Also new at Brew-Wing are their Brussels Sprouts! This plant-based snack is $5 and blew us away!
The Brussels Sprouts had the perfect amount of crispiness and the flavor of the Blue Cheese and Ranch almost made us forget this was a Vegan snack! If you’re a fan of Brussels Sprouts, definitely give this snack a try on your next visit before the Food and Wine Festival ends on November 20th.

Brazil
That’s right, nearly three months into the festival, we have NEW Food and Wine booths to talk about! October 1st marked the opening of the Brazil Booth, which was relocated this year to Port of Entry.
There, we tried the Moqueca Brazilian Seafood Stew for $5.75…
…the Crispy Pork Belly for $6.25…
…the fan-favorite Pão de Queijo for $4.75…
…and the M.I.A. Beer Company Limāo Lager for $9!
This booth features returning favorites, so be sure to stop by if you’re a fan of Brazil!

Gelateria Toscana
Over in the Italy Pavilion, we stopped by Gelateria Toscana for their “7” Layer Cake! Perhaps it’s been a while since we’ve needed to count anything, but we don’t exactly see seven layers in this cake:
Overall, we found the cake to be moist and we tasted flavors of almond, raspberry, and dark chocolate — a flavor combo that we didn’t particularly enjoy, but you might! For $10, you can try this 7 (-ish) layer cake on your next trip to EPCOT!

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
The Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea stand in the American Adventure is where you’ll find one of their Celebratory Sips, including the refreshing Golden Stardust for $6.39. This is a frappe made with Wild Berry Acai topped with Whipped Cream and EARidescent Blue and Gold Sprinkles.
You can find Celebratory Sips at Joffrey’s locations all around Disney World, so be on the lookout as you make your way through the parks during the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Creations Shop
We love stopping by the new Creations Shop, EPCOT’s new “flagship” store that takes the place of Mouse Gear. It was a popular place to be on the 50th Anniversary, where limited-edition merchandise was being sold!
Creations Shop was one of the spots around Disney World where you could purchase specialty dated items to commemorate your visit on October 1st, 2021!
Many of these items sold out in a flash!
Port of Entry
More 50th Anniversary merchandise was spotted recently at Port of Entry! Items there include the new 50th Anniversary Starbucks Tumbler for $24.99…
…as well as the same Starbucks Tumbler in mini ornament form for $14.99!
Be on the lookout for these new collectibles on your next visit!

That’ll do it for our latest roundup of what’s new at EPCOT!
