So when we noticed some new menu items pop up at El Mercado de Coronado, the quick-service dining spot at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, we were intrigued. So we’re diving into some food there and bringing you along for the ride. Of course, we’re doing this for science, too, so we can get you an honest review. So let’s go!
SOUND THE ALARMS — a beloved EPCOT snack is BACK!

For those who might not remember the good old days, cronuts used to be a BIG thing in EPCOT. These special pastries are a mixture between croissants and donuts (often covered in cinnamon sugar) and they are a masterpiece in sweet goodness. They had disappeared from EPCOT, but now it looks like nature is HEALING.
We ate a LOT of new treats and snacks for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary recently.

Some of the treats were absolute winners in our books, while others…not so much. But we wanted to see what y’all thought about all of these goodies! So we’re holding the Official DFB 50th Anniversary Treats and Eats Challenge, where our readers can choose their favorite treats on social media in a bracket-style competition. It’s basically March Madness for the 50th Anniversary. Let’s see how those treats did in round two!
This past week has been a BIG one for Disney World, specifically EPCOT! The park celebrated its 39th Anniversary on October 1st (the same day as the big 5-0 in Magic Kingdom), and its anniversary was greeted by new fireworks, new dining experiences, and much more!
Spaceship Earth is a Beacon of Magic for the 50th Anniversary!
A lot has happened in EPCOT since we last checked in on what was new, including the premiere of a NEW fireworks show, Harmonious! Let’s recap what else is new in EPCOT this week.
Looking for breakfast on the go when you’re in Disney World? There are plenty of options to choose from in the parks and resorts!
Contemporary Grounds, the Joffrey’s location at the Contemporary Resort.
You can pick up quick items like the Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom or some pastries from Les Halles in EPCOT. You’ll also find Joffrey’s and Starbucks locations all around the property, so there are usually quite a few choices there. The other day, we picked up a quick bite from Joffrey’s, and in true DFB fashion, we just had to share our thoughts! 😜
We’ve talked a LOT about Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew because, well, we cannot get enough of those over-the-top donuts! And they are constantly releasing new donuts.
There’s a reason we keep going back to Everglazed…
And let us tell you — we’ve had some doozies there, from the highly controversial Grilled Cheese Donut to a Peeps Donut to a Cinnamon Crunch Donut to a Thin Mint Donut! There have been a ton of wacky and wonderful flavors and we love trying them out!

Well, we’re looking at other parts of the park too! We’re always on the lookout for updates in the Disney World parks and today we’re doing a lap around Future World and the World Showcase. So, without further ado, here’s EVERYTHING new in food, construction, and merchandise in EPCOT!
It’s time to mix things that shouldn’t be mixed: electricity and umbrellas. We’re back at Epcot’s Electric Umbrella to share the new Brisket Sandwich, a kids’ flatbread option, and a cup of beer cheese. (J/K, we don’t share beer cheese.)
