If you know anything about us, you know that we LOVE Food and Wine crawls, especially the cheese crawl, that we look forward to EVERY year.
But did you know that in our DFB Guide to the 2021 Food and Wine Festival, we have created 20 total Food and Wine Crawls for you to try?! You will find everything from a beer crawl and seafood crawl all the way to a chocolate crawl. You heard that right. We said chocolate crawl, and today we want to give you a sneak peek.
Similar to the cheese crawl, we have tasted every item at the 2021 Food and Wine Festival and have come up with this chocolate best of the fest list. Let’s not waste any more time!
Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache
The first item on our list is located at the Belgium booth. It is the Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache for $4.50.
The Belgium booth offers a Belgian waffle with warm chocolate ganache. This is a pretty classic option with a golden-baked waffle topped with whipped cream and what’s referred to as chocolate ganache (but tasted to us like your run of the mill chocolate syrup 😂). This is a great chocolatey snack for those who want to keep the classics.
You can even check out the recipe for the Belgian waffles that they make at Disney World and make your own at home! Before we get too hungry, let’s move on to the next item!

Candy Jar Donut
This next one is for everyone looking for an ultimate chocolatey indulgence! Over at the Donut Box booth, you will find the Candy Jar Donut, and that is NOT an exaggeration of a name.
This is a chocolate iced donut topped with mini M&M’s, Twix pieces, and Snickers pieces.
We called it a chocolate lovers dream in our first review of this donut, and we stand by that review! This is a must-eat item and the perfect fit for the chocolate crawl! You can pick one up for $5. This next chocolate treat will have you doing a touchdown celebration! Let’s get into it.

The S’mores Whoopie Pie-lon
Located at the Flavors from Fire, you will find the S’mores Whoopie Pie-lon. This dessert includes Smoked Chocolate Cake, Graham Cracker, Marshmallow, Chocolate Ganache, and Candied Bacon.
This is not new to this year’s festival but is a returning menu item from the 2020 festival. It is a regular favorite for us at DFB, and you can pick one up for $4.
We were so glad to see this option return this year and were quickly reminded about why it’s one of our favorites. Rich chocolate cake, fluffy marshmallow, and that hint of salty smokey bacon. We could eat this all day long! At the halfway point in our crawl, we are really starting to get hungry! Let’s keep this party going with our next sweet concoction.

Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake
We must have the luck of the Irish because when we saw that the Ireland booth was opening a month early, we about lost it!
Ireland came strong in the dessert department this year. They blew us away with the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard.
This chocolate pudding cake was super rich and a big favorite of ours at the festival this year. It was very reminiscent of a delicious bread pudding. The Irish Cream Liqueur gave it a spiced flavoring and a hint of booze!
This is one you will NOT regret picking up. It will only set you back $4.25 and is WORTH IT!

Capirotada de Chocolate
We have come to the bitter end of this sweet challenge, but not without an amazing dessert to finish things off! We are finishing at the Mexico pavilion.
Speaking of bread pudding, there actually is an amazing chocolate bread pudding at the festival. It is the Capirotada de Chocolate. It is Abuelita Chocolate Bread Pudding served with a Chocolate Crème Anglaise, and it is amazing!
This is not a new menu item at the Food and Wine Festival but is consistently one of our favorite things to enjoy. You can pick one up for $5.50, which is a tad more expensive but still totally worth it!

The candy jar donut looks like it’s worth the calories, carbs and cholesterol. Definitely. 😊
