Disneyland Resort is slowly but surely returning to a new level of “normal.”

Recently, nighttime shows returned, parking trams are running, Royal Theatre performances are back, and Downtown Disney is going through a big transformation. Now a red icon is returning to the streets of Disney California Adventure — and here’s what we know so far!

The Red Car Trolley is a classic Disney California Adventure attraction that once provided transportation around Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land. It’s designed to look like one of the Pacific Electric Railway trolleys that ran in Los Angeles from 1887 to 1961. During the Red Car News Boys performances, you could even catch Mickey hanging out on one!

Today Disney teased the return of the Red Car Trolleys this summer! There’s no official return date yet, but we’ll be watching closely for more announcements.

The Red Car Trolley generally runs every 12 minutes or so and there are four different stops to hop on for a ride and an opportunity to rest your feet. It can be a great way to take a break and enjoy some relaxation!

And according to the Orange County Register, the Red Car News Boys trolley show will officially end this summer. This show, which starred a variety of singing newsboys (and Mickey!), debuted in 2012, and the last day to see it will be July 23rd.
