Halloween is only 5 short months away, and that means Disney is filling us in on the plans pertaining to the spooks that will take place this fall.

Halloween in Disneyland

Today, we found out that Disneyland’s Halloween season and Oogie Boogie Bash would take place between September 1st and October 31st, 2023. Along with the Halloween season will come a special fireworks show, “Halloween Screams,” but that means the current show will be taking a break for a while.

Disney announced that “Wondrous Journeys,” the current fireworks show that takes place at Disneyland, will have its final show of the year on August 31st, 2023. This is just to make room for the “Halloween Screams” show that will start after that date.

Once the Halloween season is over, we can likely expect a winter holiday-themed nighttime spectacular to arrive at the park. Once the holidays are over, “Wondrous Journeys” could resume, but it’s also possible that a new show entirely will make its way to the park, since this one was new for the 100th Anniversary Celebration. We’ll just have to wait and see!

We can expect lots of fun things at this year’s Halloween season at Disneyland, from character meet-and-greets, to parades and themed treats. Oogie Boogie Bash is returning, and tickets will likely sell out fast!
