2 Major Restaurant CHANGES Announced for Disneyland

Did you hear? Pacific Wharf in Disney California Adventure is being rethemed to a Big Hero 6-themed land called San Fransokyo Square.

Folks can look forward to exploring this transformed land which will include refreshed dining experiences and new shopping experiences along with a Baymax meet-and-greet! And, we just learned about a NEW restaurant that is coming soon, too!

We hope you’ve brought your appetites, because Aunt Cass Café will be opening in Disney California Adventure’s San Fransokyo Square soon!

This new spot is a bakery café operated by Hiro’s Aunt Cass from Big Hero 6, and Disney has shared that it will feature soups in freshly-baked Boudin sourdough bread bowls and more dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine. Make sure you look out for the mural of Aunt Cass’ cat, Mochi on the outside!

It looks like this restaurant will take the place of Pacific Wharf Cafe!

Plus, Rita’s Baja Blenders is being transformed into Rita’s Turbine Blenders, which is “a giant drink dispenser offering delicious margaritas and icy beverages” owned by and named after the repair technician who maintains the floating wind turbine on top of the structure. If you look closely, it resembles a giant koi fish.

Disney also shared that new menu items will be coming to Cocina Cucamonga and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for that!

According to Disney, “San Fransokyo Square will transport you to the not-too-distant future, in a fictional mash-up of two iconic cities – San Francisco and Tokyo. As the tech industry began to emerge and the local fishing trade fell on hard times, entrepreneurs came together to reinvent the seaside canneries into a vibrant, multicultural district of neighborhood restaurants and small businesses where you’ll be able to eat and shop.”
