It’s Festival of Holidays time in Disneyland, and we couldn’t be more excited!

The 2023 Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays starts now and runs through January 7th, 2024, There are so many tasty eats and drinks to try that it can be tough to narrow down exactly which ones you should have on your list. Come with us to the Making Spirits Bright booth to find out if this one is worth a visit!

Over at the Making Spirits Bright booth, you’ll find a variety of available items, including some IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Curry Bites, a pumpkin-flavored cheesecake, and a couple of drinks.

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

First, we grabbed the IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Curry Bites with lemon raita and coriander chutney. These cost $7.50. We’re big believers that sauces can make or break a dish, and in this case — they were the stars of the show. The nuggets had a good flavor thanks to the curry, but the texture is a little strange if you’re not used to eating meat substitutes. The curry flavor is strong and enjoyable if you like that flavor, we just wish these were actual chicken nuggets!

Then it was time for dessert! We got the Pumpkin Layered Cheesecake for $6.50. This is layers of New York-style cheesecake, pumpkin gooey cake, and graham cracker topped with spiced Chantilly and a chocolate decoration.

This was REALLY good — we loved this one. It might be a Best of the Fest dessert for us! It was incredibly creamy and the pumpkin spice flavor wasn’t too overpowering; it was nice and balanced.

Onto the drinks!

Drinks

To drink, we grabbed the returning Tiramisu Yule Log Cocktail, which is made with vodka, hazelnut liqueur, oat milk, tiramisu syrup, and chocolate bitters garnished with chocolate shavings. You can get one for $17.

Last year, we thought this drink was like Christmas in a cup. It had just a hint of chocolate, and all the flavors mixed well together. We decided that our ideal situation would be to be sipping on this tasty cocktail in front of a warm fire while it’s snowing outside. So is it still just as good in 2023?

Y’all, this was SO good. We were surprised by how much we liked it! It’s minty and creamy and really unique. We did taste a bit of the alcohol on the back end, and the texture reminded us of a White Russian thanks to the oat milk. This was a really interesting cocktail and one we’d get again — maybe as dessert!

Next, we got the new drink! This is the Chocolate Mint Stout Shake for $16. It’s made with Garage Brewing Marshmallow Milk Stout, coffee liqueur, crème de menthe, horchata cream liqueur, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup garnished with cookie crumbles.

This one definitely tasted like beer in a milkshake — but the coffee and mint flavors are definitely the most prominent. It was thick and creamy thanks to all the creamy liqueurs and ice cream. We didn’t get much of a marshmallow flavor with this one, and we have to admit a lot was going on. It was interesting but probably not something we’d get again.

Is this booth worth a visit?

OVERALL

We definitely recommend stopping by this booth for the eats — but the drinks aren’t too bad either! We like the Yule Log cocktail the best, and that Pumpkin Cheesecake is worth a stop alone!
