While we generally love Disney Springs, there are things about the shopping district — and things people do there — that make us CRINGE.
Disney World’s shopping district has one of the resort’s most interesting histories, which has led to a sprawling development full of restaurants, retail, and architectural flourishes where Disney says guests are “sure to discover Happily Whatever You’re After.” And while we love almost everything the area offers, there are definitely some things and behaviors that give us the ick.

If you’re heading to Disney World this summer, especially if you haven’t been in a minute, there are some new “rules” you’ll need to follow!
Summer 2025 is a time of change at Disney World. Muppet*Vision 3D closed to make way for Monsters, Inc. on June 7th, and the Rivers of America will have its final day of operation on July 6th before making way for Cars. On top of that, new experiences — and new rules with them — have arrived as well. With that, here are all the NEW Disney World rules for the summer of 2025.

The Beak and Barrel, scheduled to open later this year, will be themed as a pirate bar founded by the “legendary pirate rumrunner” Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, and her “talkative first mate” Rummy, an animatronic parrot who will “keep an eye on the place” from a roost atop the bar.”
