August 11th marked the very first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year, and y’all already know that we had to show up to party.
Halloween is here!
We saw spooky costumes, exclusive merchandise, a new popcorn bucket, and even tried a few sweets. However, we ran into one more exclusive party souvenir that you can buy. Check it out!
If you wanna talk about fan-favorite souvenirs at Disney World, it probably comes as no surprise that popcorn buckets are pretty high up on that list!

But what’s even better than a popcorn bucket in Disney World? An EXCLUSIVE popcorn bucket that only a select few can get, making it all the more unique! In 2023, those visiting Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive Halloween bucket, and these can often be VERY popular. In 2022, the exclusive Halloween popcorn bucket featured Zero, the ghost dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This year’s party-exclusive bucket? Well, you’ll just have to come along with us and find out!

The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year kicked off on August 11th, and we’ve seen all sorts of spooky things already. This sold-out party featured some pretty dense crowds before the event even officially started, we checked out some merchandise, and we even tried some treats. Now though, it’s time to take a look at some costumes!

Yep, tonight marks the very FIRST Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the year, and the excitement right now is real. Not only are we excited to get our hands on some spooky snacks and sips, but we’re also pretty stoked about out all the party-exclusive merchandise that’s available for party-goers to snag this Halloween season. Speaking of merchandise… What do you say we check it out?
When it comes to Disney World discounts and perks, a popular belief is that you have to be an Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member in order to get them.

The only thing that could make either of these things better is merchandise that features BOTH of them. We’ve seen lots of Disney Halloween merchandise already this year, and it’s only August! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 11th, though, so that just means we get to celebrate spooky season a little extra. We learned recently that a new restaurant addition would be added to the Japan pavilion at EPCOT — an all-new sushi bar and grill called Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. We knew that the restaurant would open at some point this summer, but Disney didn’t say exactly when… until now!
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again.

You can find some of the BEST Disney merchandise and travel necessities online on Amazon. You can find Loungefly bags, T-shirts, and a few super unique things that might not even be in the parks. We actually found some unique souvenirs on Amazon recently, and we thought they were so cute that we just had to share them.

On August 9th, stakeholders and Disney fans — the team here at DFB included — tuned in to the company’s Q3 earnings call to check out the details on the Walt Disney Company’s successes and shortcomings during the third quarter of fiscal year 2023. The quarter was filled with a few gains and losses, some of which took place within Disney+ — the company’s streaming platform. And now, cracking down on password sharing could be Disney’s answer.
One of the best ways to stay up to date on Disney news is to tune into the quarterly earnings calls.

These earnings reports not only share with stakeholders and Disney fans the company’s financial successes and shortcomings throughout the fiscal year, but they’re also a great way to gain some insight into what Disney’s plans are for the near future. From these calls, we’ve learned about upcoming films, Disney’s plans for ticketing and park passes, and we’ve even learned about Disney’s plans to sell assets.
