food IS a theme park
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney Springs!
And, we’ve got plenty of food, merchandise, and entertainment to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
October has been quite an eventful month for EPCOT!
Since EPCOT reopened, the park has been keeping busy with the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival as well as construction and character updates. (It’s also been the center of some major project and firework drama!)
This month alone we’ve seen a ton of changes while the theme park adapts to the new safety protocols and moves forward on attraction construction. Let’s take a look at the 5 most important changes we’ve seen happen at EPCOT this month!
Did you think spooky treat season was over?? Absolutely not! We still have one day left to load up on sugary sweets and savory treats!
We’ve been eating our way through the Halloween season at Disney World. We’ve stocked up on Caramel Pumpkin Cupcakes, Mickey Rice Krispies, huge pumpkin shakes, and SO more. Let’s finish off the season strong with some super special spooky snacks. Disney is offering limited Halloween Day treats for one day and one day only! We’re back in the parks to give you a full review of what’s good and what’s skippable when it comes to seasonal eats!
You know when you’re in EPCOT and it’s time to eat? And then you get SO overwhelmed because there are SO many good options? Yeah…been there!
Today, we’re stepping back inside EPCOT’s newest restaurant: Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Crafts, Drafts, and Barbecue in The American Adventure Pavilion. Will it be as good as the last time? Or perhaps even BETTER?! Let’s see how this BBQ joint is holding up a little over half a year after opening!
There’s ALWAYS that one person in our group who tries something gross and then makes all of their companions try it! We all know that person: they take a bite or a sip, their face cringes, and then they pass it around to everyone in their group so THEY can suffer, too.
Let’s look back on a few snacks in Disney World that could totally gross people out (and some that have DEFINITELY grossed US out in the past), but also inspire them to take another bite or sip.
It’s HALLOWEEN TIME!
And we’re so excited about this spook-tacular time of year that we wanted to offer you a little something extra — and it’s way more TREAT than trick! We’re having a big Halloween SALE at the DFB Store!
We’re taking it back to 1950 when the meatloaf was good and Mom never let us put our elbows on the table!
Walt Disney World reopened with quite a few changes to the overall dining experience. Limited capacities, increased sanitation, physical distancing, and limited menus are just a few of the newly implemented health and safety regulations. With all the new social distancing procedures, we wanted to check out one of the most interactive restaurants in Disney World to see what it’s like now. We headed over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get a good home-cooked meal from 50’s Prime Time Cafe!
When it comes to iconic Disney snacks, Dole Whip is definitely a top contender!
In addition to the classic pineapple, we’ve seen a number of Dole Whip flavor options make their way into Disney World. Two of our favorite soft serve flavors that are currently available in Magic Kingdom are coconut — which is included in our beloved Kakamora Float — and raspberry.
When it comes to fueling up on coffee, Buffalo Tots, and Dole Whip (our own personal Disney World food pyramid), we’re ALWAYS on the lookout for helpful tips to make it all happen! And as easily as possible!
Between some exciting Friar’s Nook news and Dole Whip life hacks, we’ve got some HIDDEN secrets to spill from Magic Kingdom!
As the sun is coming up in Disney World, a quiet morning with spooky treats seems like the best way to kick off Hallo-Week! (Anybody else shivering with anticipation??)
Although the parks have continued to get busier, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort was fairly calm this morning as we made our way over to the BoardWalk Bakery. And, we started the day off on a sweet note since there wasn’t just one… but THREE fall treats that had our name all over them!
