Welcome to February! We’re a few days into the month now, and you know what that means.
Hey Figment!
Well, in all honesty, it means a lot of things, but for some of us it means that new decorating is happening in our house to transition over from winter to spring, our closets are confused because we’re pulling out long-sleeved shirts one day and a short-sleeved shirt the next, and we’re itching to do some online shopping. If you feel the same way, great news — there are some NEW Disney items on Amazon that you can’t miss this week!
EPCOT is home to many festivals throughout the year.
EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival
Currently, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is going on from now until February 24th. Shortly after this festival wraps up, the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will return from March 5th until June 2nd. There is so much to see and do at EPCOT’s festivals, but one of our favorite things is to try all the good eats at the different food booths.
Cast Members who work in the food booths are working hard to get you through the line as quickly as possible, and sometimes they wish they could say these nine things, but they can’t because they are too nice.
A $25 million vacation village is opening up near Disney World!
Magic Kingdom
Princess Village is the name of the new property where you will be able to find short-term rental townhomes which will be great for larger families looking to stay off property. The rental resort is aiming to help create jobs and boost tourism in Orlando and we have the first look here!
As it turns out, you can bring a little bit of the Disney theme parks with you on your next voyage with the Disney Cruise Line!
Disney Wish docked at Castaway Cay
Sailing with Disney is an amazing experience, and now we’re gonna give you a tip to make your trip even better! Many vacations — Disney-based or otherwise — can set you back a pretty penny. That makes finding FREE souvenirs extra special. If you’ve always wanted to walk — or swim — away from your Disney cruise experience with a free piece of memorable magic, you’re in luck!
Disney World is getting some updates!
Magic Kingdom
There are some major updates around Disney World from the new Monster’s Inc. Land that’s in the works, the new Zootopia show coming soon, and DinoLand’s closure, there is so much going on! In Magic Kingdom, we found even more updates but these were a bit unexpected.
A recent menu change has struck one of our favorite dishes at a fan-favorite Disney World restaurant and you know we had to scope it out.
Our meal at California Grill
There’s a short list of Disney World restaurants that just don’t seem to let us down, no matter how much Disney plays with their menus. Sometimes, these changes are for the better, and sometimes they still can’t quite measure up to some of the surrounding restaurants, but very rarely do we find a change that doesn’t feel much like a change. When we heard that one of our beloved dishes at California Grill had changed, we knew we had to investigate — stat!
Want to eat for FREE on your next Disney World vacation? You can… IF you act fast!
Dining Plan
Currently, Disney is offering a FREE DINING PLAN with the purchase of a “non-discounted 3-night, 3-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option—for arrivals most nights from May 27th to June 26th as well as July 7th through August 6th. When this offer was first announced, it came with the caveat that trips needed to be be booked by February 10th. However, that limitation has been lifted, and we confirmed with Disney that there are no timeline limitations on this booking.
