Y’all, it was an exciting Sunday! We officially got the OPENING DATE for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, and we also learned some news that will have Disney fans glued to their computers on May 14th.

We have been keeping a close eye on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and the time has almost come to experience the new attraction!
Dear Disney World, it breaks my heart to make this confession, but I need to come clean.
I’ve been cheating on you. Yes, I know you are The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I’ve been trying to visit you regularly, but something has changed. You see, I’ve been flying to the West Coast to visit your smaller, yet older relative, the Happiest Place on Earth. Yes, I’ve been visiting Disneyland instead. But hear me out: I have my reasons: it’s not you, it’s me.
This summer is going to be one of BIG change for Disney World.
Cinderella Castle
For example, this summer will finally see the massive multi-year EPCOT transformation come to an end with the opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. We’ll also see the opening of a brand-new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, in Magic Kingdom. Country Bear Jamboree, also in Magic Kingdom, will reopen with a new show. But there’s another change we have to remind you about coming next week: the change to Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS).

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Our anticipation has only been building since Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was announced in 2020 to replace Magic Kingdom and Disneyland’s Splash Mountain. After countless construction and merchandise updates, we finally have the BIGGEST update! Soon, YOU can FINALLY ride the brand new attraction!

It’s been a long time coming. We’ve been monitoring the construction progress in Magic Kingdom for AGES as Splash Mountain slowly transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Disney has shared all kinds of fun updates about the animatronics on the ride, teased a beignet-scented queue, and tested the big drop LIVE in Magic Kingdom. We also shared that the ride is opening in Magic Kingdom in the summer of 2024, but now the moment has arrived — we have the official, CONFIRMED opening DATE!
We’ve been having a great week here at DFB, especially with all the details we just got about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (it’s never too early to get excited about Halloween, y’all).

However, we also spent some time eating a ton of hot dogs in Disney Springs (it’s for science, we swear!), figuring out how to get a Mango Pie with no wait, and revisiting Kona Cafe. We’ve also been keeping an eye on menus at Disney World restaurants, and BOY, they have changed this week.
Being a Disney World Passholder comes with a lot of great perks.
Annual Pass
First, you can often get FREE souvenirs just for having a Disney World Annual Pass. Plus, Annual Passholders can get exclusive access to special merchandise, early ride previews, and their own lounge in Disney World. Annual Passholders can also save on shopping and dining. Well, for a limited time, that dining discount will be DOUBLED.

Disney Springs
There are tons of restaurants and shops to explore in Disney Springs, but this new addition is going to be a real asset for many people. Now you can ship items straight from Disney Springs! Say WHAT?!
Disney World has had its share of memorable snacks, and yeah, we’re snacking around the parks and resorts ALL the time.
Contemporary Resort
We’ll never not order Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey’s Corner (with plastic cheese, of course). We’ll make time for a Dole Whip no matter where we are. We will never say “no” to those Mickey Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. But we just found a NEW snack that will be the ONLY thing we’re talking about for a while, so #sorrynotsorry.
