We’re speaking on behalf of Disney fans everywhere when we say that we have been anticipating the OFFICIAL opening of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in EPCOT’s World Nature — along with a permanent Moana MEET AND GREET. Now, the day is finally here!

The park is hosting the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana has officially opened, and a new park map has debuted. The new park map has some additions that were to be expected — descriptions and illustrations of the new attraction, along with an icon to mark the new Moana meet-and-greet. The time has FINALLY come!
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
That’s right, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is officially OPEN for guests to visit. This long-awaited addition to EPCOT underwent Cast Member, Annual Passholder, and Disney Vacation Club previews, and now it’s finally time for everyone else to join in on the fun. At the previews, we saw crowds SKYROCKET to the point that Cast Members had to utilize a Virtual Queue. Disney also said that the VQ would be used again once the ride opens if needed. Well, today is the day, and we’re ready to check out those crowds!
Traveling to Disney World is about to get cheaper, easier, and a WHOLE lot less complicated.
