Move aside, Red Hot Chili Peppers!
We’re ready to snack on something super spicy (and cheesy!!) in Disneyland that’s already making our mouths water.
It’s the first of the month in Disneyland, and you know what that means…
It’s time for a NEW Hot Dog of the Month at Craftsman Grill in the Grand Californian Hotel! And, we are getting some major nostalgia from February’s stand-out ‘dog.
Happy National Hot Dog day, folks!
To get everyone in the hot dog spirit, we thought we’d bite into a new hot dog offering over at Award Wieners in Disney California Adventure.
The holidays continue at Disneyland (you can see all of our reviews here!), and this time we bring you an all new hot dog from Main Street U.S.A.. Say hello to the Philly Cheesesteak Dog from Refreshment Corner!
First things first, we got our Disneyland Holiday paper cup! I always look forward to sipping out of these, don’t you? It’s a simple bit of festive cheer!

July 18th is National Hot Dog Day… and, boy oh boy, does Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom have a BIG WAY for you to celebrate…
Though Casey’s always has Foot Long Hot Dogs on the menu, for one day only — Wednesday, July 18th — they will be serving up TWO FOOT LONG Hot Dogs! Not as in “two hot dogs,” nope! As in two feet in length! [Read more…]

Can’t wait for lunch? Head over to The Lunching Pad with us!
You’ll find this snack stop in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. And while it looks pretty unassuming, it’s a great place to enjoy Cream Cheese Pretzels, or even Mickey Soft Pretzels!
But in addition to some of our favorite soft pretzel snacks and carbonated frozen drinks, they’re also an outlet for those delicious and inventive Gourmet Hot Dogs that you’ll find around the resort.
Today, we’re taking a look at not one, not two, but three of these deluxe dogs for lunch. C’mon!
So, atmosphere at The Lunching Pad…well, what you see is pretty much what you get.
If you’ve been to Tomorrowland, you’ve seen the atmosphere of this spot. It’s really just a walk-up window.
There are a few tables scattered nearby, complete with those awesome, padded Tomorrowland seats.
And because The Lunching Pad is located beneath the PeopleMover and Astro-Orbiter, the overhang provides some much-welcomed shade when you stop here for a quick meal or snack.
But now that we’ve taken a (very quick!) tour around The Lunching Pad, let’s see about those dogs!
The menu at this snack stop is very small. You have a handful of frozen, carbonated beverages, which are so amazing on a hot day! And you can get them in plain cups or sport bottles. And as we mentioned before, this is also a good place to snag a soft pretzel.
But the star attractions here, if you’re looking for real sustenance, are the line up of over the top hot dogs.
Let’s just take a moment to admire them, shall we?
Today’s selections include, left to right, the BLT Hot Dog, the Coney Island Dog, and the Philly Cheese Steak Dog. [Editor’s Update: The Lunching Pad menu has been streamlined since the original writing of this post, and the Coney Island Dog is currently the only specialty hot dog available.]
We’ll start with the brand new-to-the-menu [Read more…]

We first told you in March that some favorite Cone-Shaped Foods from Disney California Adventure had arrived in Walt Disney World!
This is a trend that we’ve been seeing more and more lately. When a new, “unique” food is introduced at one of the parks, it usually shows up on the other coast with a different name or themeing. Case in point: Red’s Apple Freeze at California Adventure’s Cozy Cone Motel has morphed into Le Fou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland.
And now, we’re seeing the migration East of the cone foods — sadly sans the awesome Cars themeing. So you’d better believe that I made a special trip over to Downtown Disney’s Marketplace Snacks to check them out!
Two new cones replace a couple of the more upscale “gourmet” hot dog selections that were previously available here. If you’re a big fan of the Philly Cheesesteak Dog or the Barbecued Pork and Coleslaw Dog, you’ll have to enjoy them elsewhere. (At our last check, the Philly Cheesesteak Dog could still be found at Magic Kingdom’s Lunching Pad, while you can head to Casey’s Corner for the Barbecue Pork Coleslaw Dog.)
While that’s all good, I was here for one reason: those cones. Some have heralded cones as the blessed return of the Disney handwich.
The Cones come with two different fillings: the Chili Cone Queso and the Meatball Cone.
Since I’m a big fan of bread bowls, I thought they both looked pretty amazing. So, which one did I try on this first outing?
They both sounded pretty awesome, but since we already showed you the Chili Cone Queso, I opted for the [Read more…]

Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog! I am sooo excited to finally have pictures of all of my favorite hot dogs in Disney World! How excited, you ask? So excited, that I decided to do a blog post about it.
Now, some of you might not think that hot dogs (or “hotted dogs,” as Michael Crawford would say) are that big a deal. “So what?” you say. “A hot dog’s a hot dog.”
Not so, my friends. My mother is a hot dog enthusiast, and I must have gotten some of her hot-dog-lovin’ genes. Not every dog tastes the same, and Disney World has a few that are outstanding (in spite of their new beef/chicken-ness*). Below are my favorites, in no particular order…
is synonymous with hot dogs. There’s just no getting around the fact that they’re the epitome of the Disney Hot Dog Empire, so we must begin with them. Sitting at the end of Main Street, right in sight-view of every parade, firework, and Castle show that happens in Disney World, Casey’s also provides [Read more…]

A special thanks to Chef BigFatPanda for taking us into the Magic Kingdom with him for a meal at Casey’s Corner, a restaurant inspired by Ernest L. Thayer poem and Disney animated short, “Casey at the Bat!” Take it away, Chef!
Hello again, Chef BigFatPanda here with a review of Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom! Facing Cinderella’s castle, Casey’s occupies the end left corner of Main Street. It’s fast food that can be summed up in one word “Hot Dogs”. Well, maybe that’s two words.
Atmosphere
Casey’s is reminiscent of a bygone era full of that “take me out to ballgame” feeling, which goes hand in hand with our American obsession with Hot Dogs (the word Frankfurter seems to be used less and less). The inside is decorated with baseball memorabilia on shelves, and a statue of [Read more…]
