While Disneyland Resort remains closed, we’re starting to see some reopening progress.
Both Downtown Disney and Lake Buena Vista Street are open to guests for shopping and dining. And now, a hotel is planning to reopen, too!
Last month, it was announced that the Villas at the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland Resort were set to reopen on December 6th.
During the initial plans for reopening, Disney Vacation Club Members were to be able to book stays in the Villas, while the other areas of the hotel were set to remain closed.
Although Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park must remain closed under California’s current theme park reopening guidelines, several changes are coming to Disneyland Resort very soon!
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be reopening soon for Disney Vacation Club Members and Buena Vista Street at California Adventure Park is set to open for limited dining and shopping later this month. Now, we’ve got another update related to reservations at Disneyland Resort hotels.
It’s been several months since we’ve made our way past these gates, down Main Street, U.S.A., and over to Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland Park.
Although we’ve seen some changes that indicate we’re closer to Disneyland reopening, no official reopening date has been announced yet. We’ve been keeping an eye on the Disneyland Resort Hotels as well to see when guests can begin booking reservations there. Today, we spotted an update regarding hotel availability…looks like we may not be able to make new reservations at any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels for a little while longer.
Disneyland Resort has been closed since March with no established reopening date.
Annual Passholders were granted an initial extension when the park first closed. Passholders who paid in full automatically had their expiration date extended for the number of days the parks will be closed or have the option to receive a partial refund. Monthly payments were paused for Passholders who were on the monthly payment program. Disneyland has now issued another statement regarding pass extensions. [Read more…]
Earlier today, Disneyland Resort released a reopening proposal!
If the proposal is approved by state and local governments, Downtown Disney will open July 9, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will open July 17, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen July 23 (Disneyland Hotel will remain closed initially).
With Disney World’s theme park reopening set for July 11th, we’ve been looking out for some updates on the status of Disneyland Resort.
Up until this point, Disneyland Resort has only been taking new reservations for July 1st and later, but today, they have pushed that date back. Now, Disneyland has pushed that date back.
Disneyland is currently closed until further notice.
Disneyland has canceled vacations through the end of May and is now taking reservations beginning July 1 (previously June 1). Since Disneyland is now taking reservations starting in July, they have extended their previously released special offer for the people who were affected by closures.
Can you believe that Disneyland has already been closed for 3 weeks?? (Oh, we miss you so!!)
Right now, the parks are taking as many safety precautions as possible by extending their closures indefinitely. And, while we aren’t sure when we’ll be able to walk down Main Street or watch World of Color again, we do have all the answers to your Annual Pass questions!
We love stopping by Craftsman Grill in the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland Resort to check out the spot’s Hot Dog of the Month. And while there is always some element of surprise, we must admit that the new March Hot Dog of the Month is truly unexpected.
Get ready for Le Waf Dog…which is a hot dog tucked inside a Belgian Waffle. [Read more…]
