If you’re stuck at home and missing the parks, Disney recently released a recipe that might help you feel a little less like a Genie trapped in a lamp!
Listen, we really like food. Especially Disney food (obviously…it’s in our name). Unfortunately, it’s not possible to live IN Disney World, despite Walt’s original EPCOT concept, so we can’t eat Disney food all the time.
Here at DFB, we appreciate a good Mickey-shaped treat.
From Mickey Bars to Mickey Waffles, we definitely get our fix of these specifically-shaped treats in the parks. But what about at home? Well, we found a Disney-inspired recipe from D23 that we can make at home AND shape like Mickey — Conchas!
One of the best parts about the holiday season is getting together with family and friends. D23 has got your next gathering all taken care of with their latest appetizer recipe for Kwanzaa.
This sweet potato appetizer can be customized to your taste buds depending on what flavors you like! There are two options here: sweet or savory. Plus, we can get behind anything that comes in the shape of our favorite mouse!
We love a cool Disney treat, especially on a hot September afternoon. Is there anything more refreshing?
Perhaps a ride on Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids, but for now, we’ll stay dry and settle for a Premium Mickey ice cream bar, Dole Whip, or better yet, a snow cone.
It’s March 14th, so you know what that means…it’s National Pi Day!
And we’re BIG pie fans here at DFB. Whether they’re miniature, inspired by our favorite movies, or straight out of the parks, we can’t get enough! So if you wanna do some baking in honor of this holiday (it IS a holiday, right?!), we’ve got the recipes for you! Let’s get started.
When it comes to potatoes, the possibilities are endless!
And as much as we love some classic fries, it’s always a treat to discover new ways of preparing this classic food staple! And when they look like Mickey Mouse? Well that’s just a win/win. 😃 [Read more…]
Alright, we have another cookie recipe for you to try! (Clearly we love cookies around here, if you can’t tell!) This one is ICEBOX cookies — but, not just any old icebox cookies — these are themed after Mickey & friends!
If you’re not familiar with Icebox cookies, you’re not alone! Icebox cookies became popular in the 1930s when people began to make cookie dough and keep it in their icebox to bake later – hence the phrase icebox cookies! Basically, they’re the O.G. break-and-bake cookies that you see at the store today! [Read more…]
