Sometimes, you just need a lil’ taste of Disneyland, even while the theme parks are still closed. Luckily, we can always head on over to Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Resort’s shopping and dining district.
So, what’s new at Downtown Disney?!
Yes, there’s just something about eating out that makes food taste a little bit better (it’s probably the fact that we don’t have to do the dishes after), but you can’t count out a good home-cooked meal — especially when it involves Disney!
So, when it comes to saving some cash by staying in, it’s probably no surprise that we reach for Disney recipes. Our favorite so far? Disneyland Paris began its phased reopening on July 15th.
As part of the phased reopening, only certain hotels have been available. Now, it seems things are changing around in terms of which Disney Hotels in Disneyland Paris will be accepting reservations.
Eagerly been waiting to schedule your next trip to Disneyland Resort in California?
While the Disney theme parks in California remain closed at the moment, the Downtown Disney District has reopened. Now, we’ve got some updates about when you can make a hotel reservation if you’re looking to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Last year, we told you Disneyland was planning on building a 12-story tower next to the Disneyland Hotel for Disney Vacation Club members.
The new DVC Tower will feature 350-time share villas and is a separate project from the luxury hotel that was set for Downtown Disney, but ultimately canceled in 2018.
Disneyland Resort has been closed since March with no established reopening date.
Annual Passholders were granted an initial extension when the park first closed. Passholders who paid in full automatically had their expiration date extended for the number of days the parks will be closed or have the option to receive a partial refund. Monthly payments were paused for Passholders who were on the monthly payment program. Disneyland has now issued another statement regarding pass extensions. [Read more…]
Last month, Disney announced its proposal to reopen Downtown Disney on July 9th, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on July 17th, and select hotels on July 23rd.
And while Downtown Disney will be moving forward with its plans to welcome back guests starting this Thursday, the other Disneyland Resort reopenings have been delayed.
Disneyland Resort closed in March due to the global health crisis and was set to reopen mid-July. The closure has now been extended until further notice with no new reopening date in place. This setback caused Disney to make a few important adjustments to Disneyland’s Travel Information page.
Aside from the expected updated language reflecting the delayed opening, Disney has updated some booking information regarding cancellation policies and reservation changes. [Read more…]
