We’ve been on the prowl for the new Jungle Cruise Wishables which just debuted on Disney’s website day!
So far we haven’t seen them for sale in at the parks or at Disneyland’s World of Disney, but we DID discover something else had arrived!
At the beginning of July, Disney Parks Blog launched a DIY paper project to let Disney lovers build their own pieces of Disneyland Resort. So far that has included Main Street U.S.A., Disney’s “Magic Happens” Parade, and Sleeping Beauty Castle.
This collection is brought to us by Walt Disney Imagineering at Disneyland Resort, and is another fun at-home craft that Disney has offered while everyone has been at home. If you’ve missed the earlier releases, you can find out more about the first project here. And now, they’ve released Part 4 of the series!
Downtown Disney has re-opened to guests so they can visit their favorite stores and restaurants in the district!
Although we’ve been happy to dine at spots like Tortilla Jo’s and shop at the World of Disney for new face masks, due to Disneyland’s delayed reopening we haven’t yet been able to visit their parks and resorts. And while reservations had originally been available for select Disneyland hotels in August, it now looks like we might have to wait a little while longer before we will be able to visit!
Greetings from Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort! We’re back with another update sharing what’s new at the West Coast shopping and dining district!
Since the last time we visited Downtown, there has been quite a decent amount of new merchandise added! Plus, while dining locations like Ballast Point and Tortilla Jo’s have re-opened, one location has re-closed! Let’s recap!
Downtown Disney began a phased reopening on July 9th while the rest of Disneyland Resort including its theme parks and hotels have remained closed.
Operating hours for the entertainment and shopping district have been 10AM to 8PM Friday through Sunday since its reopening, but now it appears they’ve made some adjustments to their weekend hours.
Downtown Disney has been shipping in some new Disney gear!
The Disney character face masks have been very popular at Downtown Disney at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Some of the previous designs featured Mickey, Minnie, and even Baby Yoda. Disney’s been busy churning out new protective gear and has just released a collection inspired by the theme park attractions and characters! [Read more…]
As Disney Parks worldwide continue their phased reopenings, policies have been updated to reflect current guidance from health experts. Recently, we shared the news that Disney World updated their face mask policy, which now bans face masks with “valves, mesh material, or holes of any kind.”
In an unsurprising move, Disneyland also updated their face mask policy to reflect this change, effective immediately.
Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort reopened on July 9th under new health and safety regulations.
The new California health regulation only allows restaurants with outdoor seating to remain open. Despite having outdoor seating, some Downtown Disney restaurants like Tortilla Jo’s remained closed while places like Uva Bar and Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria opened with the rest of the shopping and dining district. Last year, we told you Disneyland was planning on building a 12-story tower next to the Disneyland Hotel for Disney Vacation Club members.
The new DVC Tower will feature 350-time share villas and is a separate project from the luxury hotel that was set for Downtown Disney, but ultimately canceled in 2018.
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure may still be closed, but West Coasters can still get their Disney fix at Downtown Disney.
We popped over to Disneyland Resort’s shopping and dining district today to browse the shops and do a little bit of eating, and while we were there we spotted two very WILD pieces of merch.
