… As soon as I hear those first few iconic notes of the Jaws theme song, I can’t help but feel a little uneasy. Since Bruce said in Finding Nemo that “fish are friends, not food,” we can only hope that people are the same… right? (Cue nervous laughter)
As the Jaws theme song crescendos, one specific aquatic animal has began circling Disney World as this new cupcake makes its way into Pop Century Resort. Catch my drift?
If you thought the release of Toy Story 4 meant the movie-ties at the Disney Parks and Resorts were on their way out, boy, you were not correct. Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort has a new Bo Peep character cupcake that’s shepherding in the sweetness!
The Bo Peep Cupcake hits all the right visual notes: blue frosting with white candy pearls, a big pink white chocolate bow, and a swirl of golden yellow buttercream. [Read more…]
We’re wandering the avenues of Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts — and the Skyliner station that’s come between them. Here’s What’s New!
At Landscape of Flavors — the food court at Art of Animation Resort — we spotted a few new-to-us menu changes. [Read more…]
Just last week Disney announced that select Disney World Resort hotels would soon begin to offer Mobile Order. And the first of the new Resort hotel dining locations just went live on Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World guests!
Everything POP Shopping & Dining — the Pop Century Resort food court — is the first of the newest additions to Mobile Order dining options! [Read more…]
is a feature available within the My Disney Experience app which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service Restaurants around Disney World. Upon arrival to the restaurant, guests using Mobile Order can then bypass the ordering queue and go straight to a designated Pick Up Counter to get their food.
Since its introduction to Disney World in 2017, many guests have found it to be a great time saver. With a few exceptions, Mobile Order has been primarily offered in the four Disney World theme parks. [Read more…]
Hey, y’all! It’s time to visit a bunch of Walt Disney World Resort hotels to see What’s New (and what’s cool!)! We’re hitting up six resorts, so leave your carry-on with luggage services and put on some sunscreen– it’s time to go exploring!
We’re starting at Art of Animation, where you’ll find the Skyliner Station which will service AoA and Pop Century Resorts when the new gondola transportation system starts carrying guests this fall. [Read more…]
This week we had a chance to swing by two of our favorite Value Resorts — Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Art of Animation Resort. Both resorts received some menu updates in their food courts, but first let’s check in on the progress of that Skyliner Station!
The new Skyliner System will connect these two resorts, as well as Caribbean Beach Resort and the new Riviera Resort, to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
What’s for dinner?
You probably hear that question every day and never thought about the importance it might have when choosing a Disney Resort.
But, when deciding where to stay at Walt Disney World, be sure to consider what’s on the menu at your resort along with the nightly room rate, room size, bedding, transportation to the parks, amenities, view, and location.
Choosing your Walt Disney World resort is a practical, emotional, and sensory decision. Each resort has a unique theme created by sound, smell, textures, colors, landscaping, architecture, and flavors.
And when you’re planning a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you should think about what dining options are available for you and your family. The menus at the Quick Service and Table Service restaurants evoke each resort’s theme. A good planning tip is that you should peruse the resort menus before choosing your Disney accommodations. We love us some cupcakes here at the Disney Food Blog (check out our Disney Cupcake Challenge!), and no year in review could possibly be complete without an ode to some of our favorites!
Oh, yes. The year in cupcakes kicked off in high gear with the grandest cupcake of them all: the Rose Gold Cupcake! We found this beauty way back in January at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot’s Future World, and then rose gold treats suddenly began appearing everywhere!
We didn’t hate the rose gold trend. We were in for the ears, the spirit jerseys, and — especially — the cupcakes! This one from Main Street Bakery was a big hit due to all. that. frosting!
